Just in the off-season (like now) I go through:

5lb of WPC/WPI blend protein a month - $110

A bottle of Multi-Vits

A test booster or ZMA

A pre-workout (at the mo Superpump250)

And either a BCAA or Glutamine or Creatine just depends (at the mo it's SizeON creatine)

No Panadol with Legs, although Leg Extensions above 50 reps hurt it;s the only Leg exercise that does so I just 'man up' 8)

Nice, do you consider bake beans a good post work out carb? or are they a special treat after legs. :pfft:

They are an excellent pre-workout feed (an hour before at least) and a great post-workout feed too.

When I was low 70kg I will never forget after a workout I downed 2 cans and lay on the couch (in Perth) and could physically feel my muscles soaking it all up and stretching.

Wouldn't go without baked beans, just try adding a tin on top of your normal daily intake and try not gaining weight!

dude, im gna be doin some 'gym shopping' over the next month, to see if i can cut my travel time down. I see you train at les mills in town, how do you rate it? one of my flatties goes there, has offered to get me a cheap weeks trial.

nb- unisports is great, just a bit outa the ways...

best equipped gym around. There'a always people training so never a quiet time, which is a good feel and motivating in itself. Bit chocka of people on Monday nights but always some equipment around to use.

If you have Southern Cross health Insurance you get cheaper rate ;-)

Was Back last night and we covered quite a few exercises, different ones to the standard bunch to hit different areas.

Started off with pull-ups, underarm close-grip which uses the biceps as well. I'm a heavy bugger now but could still do 2 sets of 12 and an 8 rep set.

Next up a seated row machine that is unlike most, it's arms swing in an arc towards you and I haven't seen a gym with this machine before.

Aimed for the 20 rep range, sometimes just got 15+ out, but was able to squeeze my back tightly and not pump up the arms.

Next up was incline dumbbell shrugs superset with incline dumbbell rows. The incline shrugs really exhaust the middle traps and blow up the top part, then the dumbbell rows come and they're tough to get out. While biceps can help the traps are still being used yet they're poked from the shrugs....loved this superset and will do it again 4 sure

Seated cable rows were next on our list and nothing special here except that it wasn't that heavy. It's dawning on me that apart from deadlifts my Back exercises in the past were far too heavy. I can see my Back is filling in over the last few months of changing what I do.

Next up was a pulldown machine. Didn't feel the lats on this like the cable pulldown does but we went through the motions...I could feel arms being used alot, the angle of the machine arms is just not right. Still change is good!

Finally, hyper extension and lat rows with a plate weight. This works the glutes, lower back, and bottom of lats something chronic. Very difficult to do properly but I think I got my training partner working it well. Wonder if she's feeling it today...?

Got home and opened a can of baked beans and 400gms of chicken, ate the baked beans and half the chicken straight away, then the other half of chicken at 10pm before sleep at 10:45.

Watched the new X-Men Wolverine on DVD (yeah not out until the 29th but misses sent it over from China :-))...not worth watching at the movies tbh but better than what was on TV last night

I would but you'd be better to see it on the big screen mate, might be what was missing for me.

Also the copy I have is pre-production so in a scene where Wolverine goes bouncing across the top of a speeding truck...that'lll look cool at the movies, but I see a polygon-shaped person...also in some fight scenes I see the wires attached to the actors.

On another note: I was supposed to upgrade my rice container size but I didn't.

The big one looks too much like a bucket it's so big I'd be embarrassed to start scoffing out of it at work.

People might ask me to get a nose-bag or something like that if I bring it along LOL.

So I fill the 2nd-largest container with rice and add some more into the smaller one.

The smaller one used to be what I ate when I was 90-99kg wow I've come a long way!

So this morning I ate from the small container first and by lunchtime noticed I've hardly made a dent in the big container.

This is quite motivating to me to eat more and makes it easier....it's all head-games I know but to feel motivated to eat is better than force-feeding myself.

Today my Legs feel heavier than they were a few days ago and they're starting to seize up a bit. I keep saying this but while an IT job is great for eating all day long, it's not for getting blood running around the body. We are moving to a new location soon and I would like to pay a visit to Tepid baths at midday, partly introducing cardio and also stretching / mobility and a break from sitting down all day...so relief is coming!

Legs are 'heavy' as in more weighty not as in tired. I think the workout the other night really poked them and they've sponged up some excess calories or something.

Back is good feels a bit worked, bum moreso which must be from the hyper-extensions (I hope luv.me.oats ;-) )

This weekend I need a good hammy, calf and lower lat workout. These 3 seem lacking in stimulation this week.

Its not the same as the finished movie version 1day, this one was leaked about a month ago.

Pants getting abit tight Android? :pfft: When are you gonna start doing some serious cardio? You know 1 hour power walks twice a day :shifty:

Yeah I'm a fatty now and will buy some new shorts this weekend as you're not the only one to comment. I need new shirts and trousers for work too.

Well here I am on a friday night eating BK (HellRaiser burger, large coke, soft-serve cone everytime) about to watch Madagascar2, then eat some more chicken. Just did some arms at BTS Mt.Eden and as I left had a PO shake and a cup of cooked rice I had left from the days food. Man they charge $15 casual rate, thank god I'm rich.

Did Arms last night, just too busy eating to get it up online. After chicken last night I had a can of tuna at 10:30 before crashing at 11.

Woke up late this morning just before 9am. I hate sleeping in, I'd rather get up at 7am down a protein shake and then go back and lie in but it wasn't to be.

Anyway, Arms at BTS in Mt Eden was pretty good, basic exercises alternating bicep with tricep, sometimes supersetting bis and tris.

Spoke to Tom Terry about taking a looksie at my physique next week or week after. I've seen and asked a few people about my physique really believe in getting feedback other than from myself in the mirror, then making my own mind up. As each person has areas they like to see big on BB'ers I can't put all my faith in one persons view, nor can I afford to ignore one persons view either.

Some of the best critique I've heard so far was like: your tricep heads, the horseshoe could be deeper...or, bring your lats down lower a bit. The worst I've heard is, "you've got to be bigger" - LOL like that's not on every BB's list of things to do.

I'm in two minds about before and after pics here online anymore, or progress photos.

If I saw someone here with some amazing physique going for the Nats it would motivate the hell out of me to eat, rest, and train harder...something I don't want to do for my competitors tbh. I'd rather they just see what they've got themselves into when we're backstage on Judgment day.

Gotta go and eat now, a big bowl of baked beans and chicken for the last meal before Hammies and calves at 12:30
