Im on a low carb diet at the moment so I am experimenting a wee bit, and I don't really want to blow out on carbs and I skipped a meal today so thought I would try this out.

Protein Brownies

1 scoop pp (I used reactiv defining whey chocolate)

1 tsp cocoa (use something strong, for a good cheap on signature range in the tin)

1/8th tsp Xanathan Gum

1/8th tsp Stevia powder

50g Cream Cheese (I used the full fat stuff nom nom)

1tsp vanilla

1/2tsp baking powder

Hmm ok it cooked for 10 mins at 180 and that was about 50% too long.

MMmmm nom nom. I will add pics later.

300cal

19g fat

6g carbs (5g sugar)

25g protein

Chocolate Protein Ice Cream

100g lite cottage cheese

1 scoop pp

20g cream cheese

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 tsp xanathan gum

1/5 tsp stevia powder

mix all together in food processor. Churn in icecream maker if you have one or if you dont freeze stirring/blending every so often.

Calories: 250 (depending on pp)

Fat: 9g

Carbs: 7g

Protein:36g

(this possibly is a recipe for brownies too..just bake for 5 mins at 180 or microwave for 60s instead of freezing)

Hey Laura, I tried looking for the Xanathan gum at 3 different supermarkets (baking goods aisle yes?)... but no go :( Where did you buy it from?

I need need need to try these recipes

yes baking goods isle, i got the idea from another female fitness website they all just add it to their shakes to turn them into thickshakes :)

i actually picked mine up from huckleberry farms though. there seems to be a few places that sell it if you have a new world I would try there otherwise try this google search and u can buy online from a few places

:D hey,

They look great. talking to one of the guys at the gym he said that when something is cooked especially protein for gym junkies it brakes it down. For example the protein bars you buy in the store. if they are cooked at actually usable protein is lower.

Do you or anyone else know anything about this? Im not saying we should all chow down on raw chicken just wondering if any guru's can put me in the right direction.

Cheerio!

I do know that by heating whey above a certain temperature destroy's a lot of the amino acids. Which kind of defeats the purpose of using WP.. :pfft: :pfft:
