Yay! My eagerly awaited package of supps was sitting on my doorstep when I got home from work today. Immediately popped some Halodrol and Plasmajet tablets. An hour later I drank my Mega NO blast and 20 minutes later I was at the gym.

Did a couple of sets of pullups for warmups and noticed straight away that I was buzzing and feeling pretty strong. Worked my way up the weights with my deads and stoked to hit 6 full reps at 200kg :grin: To be honest it actually felt easy. Second working set was not so successful as the gyms aircon was off and it was really hot. My wrists were sweating and the straps started to loosen. I didnt want a repeat of the other days drop so I stopped at 4 reps, had a couple left in me though.

Transfered that remaining energy into the other back exercises and successfully nailed PB's in them too. Im one rung from the full stack on the widegrip pulldowns. Then I'll have to add dumbbells to the stack like I do on everything else :pfft:

People ask me if Im natural. I look at the list and think hmmmm :think: I mean I doubt Adam was stacking Cellmass with plasmajet when he was pimping eve :pfft:

I reckon youd without trouble nail a 210 squat, 145 bench and a 220 deadlift? .... 575 total at 105kg... and then next time around you can aim for 675 at 110 or something like that.

Squat - yes

Bench - would be hard cause I dont train with a pause at the bottom but yes also acheivable

Dead - Always use straps so I have to start training with chalk to get my grip strength up I reckon. 2 weeks wouldnt be enough time to hit a dead that heavy raw.

675 would definately be the goal maybe next season.

Question, do they ever drug test at the meets? I dont suppose that would be very relevant as its more of a gauge against yourself kind of thing and theres no prizes? Not that I wouldnt pass, just wondering about calibre of other competitors.

You have to be part of the NZPF to be tested. You could definately post up some big numbers going by your log. If you're seriously considering entering a meet get some videos of your lifts so you can get some technical advice before the day. Powerlifting probably has a different definition of what you consider a parallel squat, so you have to be prepared to really sink them! And don't get me started on bench! Let's just say you don't want to do a "Samwelly" (supposedly bench 200kg, but fail to do 150kg at the meet three times). As for deadlifting, my guess is you'd do 230+ at a meet. Grip won't be a problem at all with a good bar and some chalk.

what were his bests on the day and body weight ?

I think he got 200 on the squat (failed 220), very deep squats (oly style), bombed on bench and 250 on deadlift (failing at 270). Pretty impressive but needed more practice at PL legal benching!

This was in the June novice CD comp, think he weighed in around 115 or so.

Should have been Chest & Biceps today but got a big chest workout scheduled for Sunday. Seeing as Ive been lacking intensity in my last couple of shoulder trains I thought Id give them a blast today. Bloody glad I did. Although the pump in my delts (and biceps) is making it hard to type right now :pfft: Thats plasmajet for you I suppose \:D/
