really? your the second person 2 allude to their saltiness, but i dont taste it?! maybe my tastebuds are poked......

I don't eat salt at all, don't cook with it or stick it on my food so I'm pretty susceptible to the taste!

just ordered myself a 2kg bucket of the stuff..

ooooo I just got a 1kg bucket, prolly cheaper to get 2kg tho. I feel bad throwing away yolks so this is much better! Very handy! Very salty! Makes good omelettes!

My next door neighbough does a lot of baking so I give her my egg yokes...she always offers me cakes and stuff she bakes...(sooooo tempting) but ..I politely say its all good...

I've never tried the powder, but the frozen ones weren't salty at all.... and way convenient. Whizz them up in a blender with half-sachet of Weighwatchers jelly mix for flavour.

When I was using whole eggs, I'd save the yolks for my sister-in-law's cafe. Just keep a plastic tub in the freezer, add the new yolks (ten at a time!) - they even stayed whole when defrosted. My reward was some free yummy mince pies at Christmas. =P~

They seem to be salty just when I mix them with water and drink like that, I stuck them in my porridge this morning-not salty at all, omelettes- not salty at all.

Been to my favourite butchery (yes I already have a fav!) bought chicken breasts and a whole eye fillet, they chopped it up for me into Vee size pieces so I don't have to weight or cut the stuff woohoo! It looks like this:

Fascinating stuff at Le butchery, haven't taken much notice of the meat stuff before. 120grams of steak is the equivalent in iron to 3KG of spinach.

I feel very mis-informed

Vegetarians lie!

My old man was laughing at me being amazed by this information :pfft:

Maybe the carnivores were right all along!

Went on WINDY run this morning. Damn head winds. It took FOREVER to run/crawl/walk/ the 13km that is on my training programme.

Here's some pics of the wind (doesn't look that windy tho)post-2536-1416681973015_thumb.jpgpost-2536-14166819730371_thumb.jpgpost-2536-14166819730585_thumb.jpgpost-2536-14166819730804_thumb.jpgpost-2536-14166819732016_thumb.jpgpost-2536-14166819732361_thumb.jpg

That they do....not being married to a butcher, I talk to the guys at the Supermarket (some trade-trained fols behind the counter) and they carve off a slab of rump maybe 35-40mm thick if you ask.. 4m in the grill and it's done to perfection. Just cooked up a batch, it'll keep in the fridge for a few days, esp if you keep it out of the juices. Yum, yum, YUM =P~
