dinner: omgomgomg laurasaur, those protein pancakes are pretty darn good! have had them for dinner the last 4 nights

\:D/ \:D/ they rock eh im so glad u like them!!!!! i have changed up my recipe a bit now i do a half serving of pp and 75g cc, find it is even better :) mmm

Only just un-packed the computer out of the box :lol:

since i'm not well enough to go to the gym yet i'm just swimming (non weight bearing exercise)

Goals for the ocean swim:

The swim is 2.8km.. so i'm planning for my goal to be able to swim 4km non stop and atleast 2km at a fast pace before the race.

At the moment i'm able to swim about 400-500m at a fast pace and then the rest of that kilometre at an average pace

16 weeks till it begins

Goals

Week 1-2

Average pace 1.5km 2x a week

fast pace 500m, 1km average pace 3x a week

(if i get better i will be adding in 3 cardio sessions in the gym to replace with 1 Average pace 1.2km and one fast pace 500m, 700m average pace)

Week 3-4

Average pace 1.75km 2x

Fast pace 700m, 1.05km average pace 3x

Week 5-6

Average pace 2km 2x

fast pace 900, 1.1m average pace 3x

Week 7-8

Average pace 2.5km 2x

fast pace 1.1km, 1.4km average pace 3x

Week 9-10

Average pace 2.75km 2x

fast pace 1.25, 1.5 km average pace 3x

Week 11-12

Average pace 3km 2x

fast pace 1.5km, 1.5km average pace 3x

Week 13-14

Average pace 3.5km 2x

fast pace 1.75, 1.75km average pace 3x

Week 15-16

Average pace 4km 2x (hoping this will take me 2hrs)

fast pace 2km, 2km average pace 3x (hoping this will take me less than 2 hrs)

From memory the cut off time for the 2.8km swim is 1.5 hours so i guess i'll be swimming about 1.5 km at a fast pace and 1.3km average pace so if i stick to my goals it should be easy!

I can swim 1km in about 25 mins at the moment, i wasn't going hard out though.

Get some Ocean swims in as well, it's quite different than swimming in the pool-waves and other swimmers bumping into you. Will you be wearing a wetsuit in the race? If so practice in that in the ocean too, some tri clubs or swim clubs have ocean swim lessons which will help you get to grips with a race simulation. Good goals and good plan!!! That's my 2 cents worth!!! :grin:

yup, i think somewhere along the line the event holders hold training things at the beach

I have changed my diet about a bit

I am either planning to purchase some protein isolate

what do you guys think is best for weight loss and toning providing my diet and exercise is under control...

Anyways i've ditched the egg white and tuna thing out of lack of convenience and it stunk out my truck :o

so for lunches i am just eating a medium sized can of tuna with a piece of fruit

breakfast is still the same - half serving of sculpt with a coffee

and i've been watching my carbohydrate intake after 3pm so my dinners are generally low in carbohydrates

I'm still having trouble loosing my belly.. haven't lost any weight from it so far, my measurement is still about 80 cm under my ribs, 90 cm hips and 95 cm at the pant line.... oh dear

have been sticking to my swimming plan though! not looking forward to when the pool starts to get busier though, goddamn school holidays!

I even fit in a cardio session at the gym the other day.

I heard a theory that if you do for example crunches and then do cardio that you will burn more fat around the area that you just exercised? is this true?

Yep, tuna'll do that - but did you try frozen/pasteurised liquid egg-white ? quite convenient for shakes, I found.

I've no personal experience of those products, but I'd be interested to hear how you find them if you try them.

Oh, do I wish it were true, but sadly it seems there really is no such thing as spot reduction :oops:

So i'm back into my training and i'm finally seeing results :o

got a few comments on the weekend that i've lost weight so that pushed my ego up a bit

i'm finding it kinda hard to stick to my swimming program, on a count that it's so boring swimming up and down... up and down so what i've decided to do is do my gym program and do about 20 mins of swimming sprints afterwards

my gym program at the moment mainly consists of cardio, but am doing swiss ball crunch, woodchop something a rathers (works on obliques??), squats with 3 kg weights (oh i feel so weak compared to you people :doh: )

wieghed myself this morning, no clothes, no breakfast and was 64.1kg's!

but then i weighed myself tonight and i was 67 kg :evil: i hope i crap it out :pfft:

i asked my gym today if they measure body fat percentage and they said i had to go to some place and pay money that i don't have etc....goddamn you QEII!!

i wanna start to be able to bench stuff but right now i'm waaaay to embarrassed... i could probably bench the bar hahahha

Really that sucks arse! At les mills you can just ask a gym instructor to do it for you for free by just booking a time. All PT's should do it?? Man I started on the bar, you got to start somewhere :wink:

Yeah!! That's what happens when you sign up to gyms that are run by the city council!! I'm even struggling to find the money to renew my membership :cry:

Haha, i'll just make sure that I go in when no one is there so people don't laugh

Hey Swimmer, there's a couple of reviews of the Lipotropic protein in the Supp Review forum. Should be fairly near the top.

I tried it, and my review was, uh, less than totally favourable. Having said that, I did get used to it, although I still couldn't describe it as delicious. :wink:

gym was too busy today so i didn't try benching anything because i was too embarrassed :pfft:

did 15 mins cross trainer

5 mins run

5 mins walk

some arm things

got really hot and tired so was just a quick workout today

i should have gone for a swim to cool off, groceries was my excuse

where did my motivation go? :-s

Sweet nice work. Have you got a wide back and big delts from swimming? I did a lot of swimming when I was young and grew mine originally just from swimming

yeh it kinda sucks!

hard to find nice dresses that fit round my back :( i usually end up buying a size waay to big for the rest of my body and then go over to my mum's and attack it with the sewing machine 8)

diet was crap today

well breakfast was, not a good start to the day

not a good week at all infact, lost my job :cry:

breakfast: half serving of sculpt + coffee w/ trim milk+ 3 rice things smothered with peanut butter and margine (dear lord)

snack: hot choc with trim milk

lunch: i can of tuna

snack: orange juice

dinner: small chicken breast, potatoes, peas, beans

snack: rice bubbles

will have to make up for what i ate today for the rest of the week!

exercise:

30 min walk on cross trainer 6% incline 6kmph

5 mins rowing - ouch!!

10 mins power bike level 5

as of tomorrow i'm gonna start on a very minimal carb diet, only eating my main servings of carbs at breakfast (in my sculpt), however many carbs are in a can of tuna and before a workout

i also need to up my fruit servings and do more wieghts instead of just cardio
