Hey guys thought I better start a journal.

Bit of background -

Current weight 64kgs - dropped about 2 kgs from a week of near non existent eating because of a few things going on in my life right now. So I suspect some of that will come back in the next few weeks.

Goal weight is somewhere between 58-60kg. I will know when my thighs and ass have leaned out, thats where all my fat hangs around at.

Plan... haven't got that bit sussed yet. But my cardio was non existent before and now its coming in the form of a bike ride to and from work up hills which KILLS me. I suck at riding my bike. Also I have no gym to go to at the moment. I do have a bench and some weights and I think I am going to pick up a squat rack on wednesday. That should tide me over for a few months I reckon.

Oops forgot about my journal  I will be better I swear hehe.

Cheers for all the comments!

Nothing wrong with that, solid deadlifts in there Laurasaur

As for sucking at bike riding, there's only one way to get 'round that: do it more and more!

Keep us posted on your progress :)

Yeah have been doing a lot more bike riding, slowly getting better but still painful as.

nice deadlifts

for back with free weights you could do db rows or bent over bb rows

Yep did both of those on Sunday :).

I am going SO LONG between workouts its freaking killing me. I hate when issues come up and screw around with routine. I really need to find a gym around my place that I can go as a casual.

Great to see you kickstart a journal! Good luck with this 8)

Cheeers :)

Which supplements are you taking Laura?

No supplements unless you count protein powder, the occasional multi vitamin and vitamin C :P I have a bunch at my old apartment I might pick up tonight that I have never used, I'm not even sure what they are! I don't really like taking supps but I think I should be taking something....?

Yay a journal! Look forward to seeing your progress. So what ya eating?

I'm eating so erratically at the moment. But today which is a work day for me is the same as every other work day. So:

M1: 40g Oats and 1/2c soy

M2: Protein shake with 30g isolate, .5 banana, water

M3: 95g Tuna (sometimes have a chicken salad)

M4: Protein shake with 30g isolate, .5 banana, water

M5: Chicken/Tuna/Salad/Salmon

M6: Cottage cheese pancakes or protein shake with berries.

But yesterday was crazy, I ate...

M1 (midday) - cottage cheese pancakes

M2 - cottage cheese pancakes

M3 - Protein shake

M4 - chicken salad

Thats because I woke up at 12 tho :/ but yeah my life is a complete mess at the moment. I seem to be weighing consistently at 64.0kgs though which is nice. Although I am so worried about how much muscle I am losing!! I was planning on going to the gym tonight but now I cant, so hoping to fit in a set of deadlifts and shoulders in about half an hour.

Then tomorrow hopefully squats, biceps/triceps, calves, and whatever else.

In the way of supplements I would suggest take whey protein, women's multi, creatine made by balance which is cheaper to buy compare to the other creatines which are out there and a 1kg tub of Balance creatine cost $33.90 which is a good price you get 50 serivings out it back to the whey protein try the diffrent brands that are out for the likes Balance,EAS etc when you do find a brand that you like stick with it plus it also depends on how much money that you can afford to spend on supplements.

I wouldn't have called protein a supplement, but Gymrat's point about finding one you can live with and afford is a good one... some folks find some brands of protein give their tum some grief.

Other than that, all I'd go for is creatine (no need to get fancy-schmancy, plain old creatine monohydrate is all you need) and a good multi-vitamin.

It's possible to spend a loooooot of money on supps, but oftentimes it's just wishful thinking and some decidedly dubious marketing  .

Thanks Gym Rat, I already take whey protein isolate 2-3 times a day, I'm not into anything fancy so that does the trick, creatine - I was on in season for powerlifting but to be honest I didnt see much point continuing taking it while I was cutting?

And womens multi, check will take this more regularly :D

Yeah I find any why protein that is not an isolate gives me a sore tum, too much lactose. And I just mix with water. Creatine, sigh, sounds like I have to start this back up again :P And multi yup I can do that :D Cheers!

When you do start taking creatine again drink extra water lets say for example you are drinking 4 or 5 litters of water drink 6 litters of water. Also I would highly recommend buying a shaker as well which are very cheap to buy.Plus is save money on buying instant protein shakes from the gym also shakers are great when one travels as well.
