I tried it about 4 years ago, my diet wasn't the best back then but It cut me up like nothing else??

Haven't tried it since but if you are cutting up it worked for me.

For one thing it's prescription only in NZ, and is really only of any benefit if you're old or have low DHEA levels.

No I won't need it until I'm in my late 40's, early 50's. However you'll probably benefit from using it from your mid 20's on.....

Ive read DHEA can be converted to either test or Est in the adrenale gland.

I might just drink a bit of green tea as a natural anti estrogen any other good/easily availible anti-E's?

Aren't you like in your early 20's? Who told you DHEA was a good idea? You're wasting your money with that one unless you've got something wrong with your adrenal gland and have low DHEA levels. DHEA doesn't convert to test or est in the adrenal - the adrenal produces dhea, then dhea enters the blood where it may get converted to test or more likely estrogen. If you're going to take something that makes you bald and increases your chance of prostate cancer you may as well use the real stuff.
