How did it all go??

Well......it went well from the perspective that I was happy with my routine & how I was looking. But, I'm gona have a rant about the placings. WTF??!! I can only assume I lack the size to be competitve in figure classes. The bit that got me, that other than first place (Eve was looking FANTASTIC) - the other two placings (2nd & 3rd) had asses that were wide & headin south!!! And NO leg definition. If that's what it takes to place in figure classes - I won't be competing in them!!

Plan from here?? Probably won't compete for a few years, think I lack the size (shoulders & lats). May look at body fitness. Time to get horses ready for another competitive season of eventing and showjumping. And - get ready for the Women's Triathlon, Maraetai Beach - Feb 8th 2009!

Thanks to all that have supported my journey to Nats 2008 - it has been most welcomed and appreciated.

You're still a winner in my eyes Flamer :nod: You made it to Nats and strutted your stuff in the best condition you could this time around. Its all a learning from each competition on what they are looking for and what you need to get there next time, possibly look at NZFBB pics/comparisons as to whether that may be more suited to your physique? Well done hun and look forward to seeing your pics girl!! :wink: You rock!

This is sorta what puts me off about competing too.. its so subjective.

Could do end of years in 2009 like me? May be think of NZFBB?

I am leaning slightly towards a swap to NZFBB. Not gona know til later next year whether I'll be looking anything close to comp form.

Will prob keep this journal going, as symmetry is still something I need to work on. Haven't been back to gym yet - maybe Friday. Did 40 min on wind trainer this morning, followed by a short run to remind the body of what happens during a triathlon!

Wow good on you for doing some cardio!!! As you know it took me 10 days to get my lazy arse back into it :lol:

Well you can just keep on going hard and say 3 months out re-evaluate what your body is looking like and get advice from EXPERIENCED people you trust as to which category/federation you would be best suited to at that time to kick some ass! Speaking of ass NICE ASS! ahhaha Only problem I think everyone will have with you competing in the NZFBB is that we won't see you swinging your butt around in a G!!! :doh:

Yay back in the gym well done! How did you find it, everything sore as hell? I still get massive DOMS day 2 real bad and walking around like an old lady still, bloody weird, may be as I am an old lady! You get really sore training? Be interesting to know if other people experience this after competing. Mind you I had a week off, you have only had a few days.

I felt like weights were down - not by heaps, but enough to piss me off. Not sore....yet. I got a deadlift session on Monday - so that may be more telling. Haven't deadlifted in months - my last PB was 80kg x 3, but I don't imagine I'll get anywhere near this (pessimist :roll: ).

Need to get back into routine. Was supposed to be back to eating clean today too....but had work conference/training all day, so lunch provided. I tried ALL the Subway cookies. Might need to go back for seconds to be able to confirm my favourite :pfft:

Apparently thats normal ! Shouldn't take too long for things to kick back into gear :nod:

Cable Pulldowns 6P x 12 x 3

Swiss Ball Pikes 12 x 4

DB Curls 8.5kg x 10 x 4

Pretty happy with deadlifts - back tellin me about it now! Just think what I could have achieved if I hadn't been.......under the weather! :pfft:

Will look at upping DB Rows & maybe cable rows next week.
