I thought if i done a workout journal then it might give me that extra motovation i need to stop eating so much peanut butter on toast leading up to the nationals :pfft: lol

I qualifyed for the nationals last weekend at the Waikato Show.I have had this week off to get my bodyweight back up and Will start back into training tomorrow, So i can get some structure back into my eating and from there will start bringing my bodyfat down. I got down to 4% for the elite :grin: am hopeing to do better than that for the nationals!

Split is as follows

Monday....Back

Tuesday....Chest

Wenesday....Legs

Thursday....Just cardio

Friday.... Arms

Saturday....Shoulders and Traps

Sunday.... Just cardio

I will post stats after a weeks training...

I trained last week but i was pretty much just pissing around, sussing out my new gym. started hard training Monday :nod: I'm so sore!!

back

Chin up assits, 4 sets of around 15reps with what ever help i needed to get the 15reps

cable rows, 180lb for 20reps.......... 200lb for 15reps...... 220 for 12reps.........240lbs 8 reps, drop set, 130lb for 20reps

reverse grip pull downs, 3 sets around 12 reps can't rember weight (just what ever i could handle??)

seated row, again cant remeber weight. done sets of around 12reps. it had 4 different grips........ i done 2 sets of each (8 sets in total).

Training legs today :evil: :evil: i will post that work out cause its gonna be some crazy shit lol

My gym??? I just sold my gym in Morrinsville. Looking at opening one in hams in the next little while. I've been doing a bit of training at Less Mills in hamilton, what i cant do there i travel back to morrinsville to do

I was gonna open a 24hr gym in Aucks, but then i meet this girl............. she lives in hams soooo hams it is.

the seated row machine has a pad (like sitting backwards on a chair) .

the cable rows is sitting on a bench (no surport). can lean right forward and strecth out then pull back just past 90.

hope you can picture the difference??

Trained legs yesterday.

leg extenshion

warm up 65reps, added a plate went to failure 35reps, added a plate went to failure 22reps

leg press

14 plates 20reps, 16 plates 16reps, 18 plates 11reps, 20 plates 4reps, then droped to 14 plates for 10reps, then droped to 8 plates for 25 reps.

hack squat

done body weight...... 2 sets...... 30reps each set

lying leg curl

90lbs for 25reps, 105lbs 20 reps, 120lbs 16reps, 135lb 12 reps then droped to 75lbs for 10reps.

standing single leg curl ( i use the leg extenshion machine )

2 sets of 15reps each leg at 60lbs

walking lunges

i used a bodypump bar :oops: I'm gessing it be around 8kgs. done 2 sets of 28 steps (14 each leg)

standing calf raises

4 sets 20 reps, put weight up after each set, very little rest!

that was done in 70mins!!!! I was a waste of space for the rest of the day :pfft: :pfft:

Hey man.Good to see u putting a journal up.Saw your pics from the Waikato and it was close between u and Alex.I see your contest prep is well under way for Nationals...will u be making an appearance at the North Harbour the following week...?I`ll be competing there so it would be good to meet up chat...

hey Garth, thanks for your comments! In my defence....... i was far from my best at the waikato show, but full credit to Alex he always turns up ripped!!!! I wont be competing after the nationals for a while (new gym to get open) but i might go and watch the north harbour.

Yea its good to chat man...still pretty new to this site and bodybuilding is a religion to me.Where boutz u openin a gym???

the only way you get anywhere in bodybuilding is if it rulz your life or as you put it "A Religion" so stick at it and the results will come!!! I just wish it didn't take so dam long :evil:

Soundz gr8 man...good luck in your search and with getting the gym started.I see u keen on a 24 hour gym...I been tryna find 1 of those since I been in NZ and 1 thats truly hardcore bodybuilding orientated.The closest I`ve found is up here in East Tamaki.

Yea totally man.I follow bodybuilding day in and day out.Set high standards as well comparing myself,not to novices or amateurs,but to Victor,Phil or Dexter.Itz gotta rule your life and itz only those who eat sleep and breathe it that succeed.

I should be at Nationals so I`ll come give u some support.Look forward to seeing what u bring to the stage.
