Bouncing jobs in Akl?

Whats the going rate on door work here in NZ?

When I was bouncing in UK as in house security, I negotiated with my boss free rent,food and £18.50 an hour.

I'm sure it helps if you have experience in conflict management, excellent communication skills, self defence, drug awareness, incident recording, licensing laws, health and safety, emergency procedures and first aid though aye SM?

Largely due to the help of a friend, I'm going to meet up with the head of a security firm who operate out of town and do some static stuff as well. I'll do some ringing around once I know about that option.

Saturday night I'll take a trip into town with a mate and go for a wander round (I live way out East so haven't had a really good look around at everything, with the exception of the Viaduct).

Am keen to hear any talk of wages for doormen around town. Out East the rate is generally $16-18.50. A year ago in town I got offered 23hr but couldn't take it. Mate in Aussie is pulling $30-35 and sometimes $50 for special events.

Rate out east is pretty much the same anywhere in Auckland IMO. The Ozzy bouncers earn a shitload more than we do here...same as the UK.

Was Neil Finns place, I trained with the head bouncer, so that made things a ton easier. Another one had a similar offer for a Viaduct bar, guy saw me on the street, but I was already working full time then. Like I said, was a while ago.

Not sure what this company is called yet, think it may be Allied Security. Its a friend/business partner of a mate of mine. I'll find everything out on Friday.

Right ok...I'd be very surprised if you could find a job bouncing anywhere in auckland earning $23 an hour....even a year ago. Wages for doormen have significantly dropped since "security firms" have been contracted as is the case for most doors these days. In-house security used to be in the $25 hour range however now most will be paying what the security companies are paying.

The guys at Rtotos are In-house and they are all on $15 / hr....
