Hmph. I'm not at all impressed with the peanut butter situation at my local Foodtown. First they dropped the Sanitarium stuff while they did a "stocktake" that lasted a month. Then, just when we'd acclimatised ourselves to ETA instead, they did away with that too. Now we're down to Kraft, and only in piddly little jars. :evil:

Kidding! I'm not a fan of the Kraft PB range either.. It seems to leave a weird sweet but greasy aftertaste :? Are there any New Worlds close to you? Apparently all of them stock the Ceres natty PB :nod:

Random, but do you remember Bin Inn? Old skool wee shops that had barrels of stuff (spices/lollies/nuts etc) you could weigh out.. I miss those :( They even had a manual grinder at the one that was a few minutes away where you could grind the nuts you bought to make your own PB! Wish it was still around.. but I think there's a liquor store in its place now dry.gif

7.50 for a jar of almond nut butter! thats cheap!! its $9.49 at g.i pak n save (which iz wher i got it nd thought twas cheap!) and $11.45 at foodztownnnn ...then last year got it for $13.90 nite b4 a comp from health 2000 wata rip! u got the deelios on the pricezz!

I got the crunchy the other day... sooo gooooood. Not as creamy as the one TFB got us, but its still the goodness. I will get the smooth tomorrow for more accurate testing though lol. Have you tried that Tahini spread? I think its sesame seeds or something, but I'm a bit scared to try it in case its gross unsure.gif

Go me!

Busy day today. Got up early to train my little bro at the gym which was a craaackup. I asked him what his goals for training were (1. Look like Sonny Bill, and 2. Get chicks :roll: ) Being 13years and 6'0 tall though, I've got big plans for his training :twisted:

Headed to a mate's bday after work, so diet was good up until I had some bday cake. Meh, I'll just work harder at training tomorrow, so not too bothered.

Have noticed over the past 3-4 nights that I've had some real trouble getting to sleep. I'd be tired over the course of the day then toss & turn later at night trying to fall asleep dry.gif Whats worse is when I get up in the middle of the night to go pee (sometimes 2-3 times :shock: ) It takes me AGES to fall back to sleep afterwards. I've never had this problem before! tantrum.gif

Ah, welcome to my nightmare. It sucks eh? I have JUST started some ZMA - which is supposed to help. Will let you know if it's actually of any benefit.

I think it might have something to do with carbs 'cos the only thing I've changed around in my diet is having what little carbs I get (dry.gif), at the start or middle of the day, with none in the early evening or late night :think:

And yus! Let us know if the ZMA works for ya please! I miss my long deep sleeps :(

Dunno if it's the same for womenz as it is for guys, but I've been taking one NFS-brand ZMA with my creatine right after late-nite cardio, and I sleeps like a log.

Is it better sleep than without it - I seem to be coping fine with 5-5 1/2 hours sleep/ night, in fact the biggest influence on state of mind seems to be how much carbs.

Plus. it's not expensive as supps go ($31.20 from Healthy 10-20 for example), which makes a change!

BUT if u look thru my journal theres a time there wen i jus couldnt sleep before comp -phhysically exhausted but once i was IN bed i could never sleep, jus tossed and turned. spent much of the last 5weeks on like 5-6hours sleep MAX a nite :/

yup i tried the tahini spread back n thae day, its reallllly nutty. quite an aquired taste -DEFINATLEY not 'eat off the spoon' material. infact, if you eat pb for the taste (rather than just to get daily fat cals) id say stick w it, tahini will prolly leave you disapointed

excuse my ignoriance but what is ZMA? and what does it do?

Zinc - Magnesium - Amino

- assists immune, hormonal, skin, cardiovascular and prostate health

- bone & joint maintenence

- wound healing

- carbohydrate metabolism

And apparently - gives goods dreams and assists sleep (testing that theory currently).

I take melatonin to help me sleep and babies dont sleep as good as I do. :)

With melatonin you get a deeper sleep so even if you only sleep for 6 hours you wake up feeling more refreshed than if you slept 9 hours tossing and turning.

Bought some ZMA today (thanks Flamer!) and did my cardio later in the evening to see if that'll make a difference. I get to sleep in tomorrow, so am looking forward to going to sleep lol icon_dance.gif

His advice tends to have that effect. In person he makes you do it your old way to feel the difference. It definately proves the point!

For some reason Sumos don't feel right to me. I should play around with them. I guess it's a matter of preference!!

Its probably because you don't have a wider pelvic structure like most wimmenz 9542a3ae.gif

I've only ever mucked around with them in the past, but I think I might give it a go soon, seeing as I wanna get my lifts up :nod:

Maybe... All the measurement is from the arse :lol:

Training was effing HARD. Only a couple of seconds rest in between sets and as little rest as possible between different exercises. Depletion sucks, and whats worse.. you gotta use like a 1/3 of the weight you usually use, so I felt like a bloody weakling as well. My poor poor muscles..lol.

Diet pretty good today, had a yummmmy breakfast (150g greek yoghurt + 50g blueberries + scoop PP). The DeWinkel greek yoghurt's only got ~5g carbs/100g.. good stuff :nod: Will prolly have it again tomorrow morning.

Energy levels & mood are sweet. Went to visit Ali today for my bikini.. OMG she's such a sweetie!! love.gif I just went for a plain jane black bikini... and talking to her has given me even more motivation for this prep :twisted:
