Yeah agreed its powerlifting stuff, but I just did it out of curiosity.

Regular deadlifts will be at lower weight for higher reps.

But I still believe once in a while, say one month every year during a bulk phase or something, its a good idea to focus only on 3 basic lifts and work them upto a 1 RM. It sorta builds a strenght platform to work from. Just my opinion, I realize it has no benefit in terms of muscle mass but I do believe there is a connection between strenght gains and muscle gains somewhere.

Today I trained nice and early in the morning cause I had a full day and didnt enjoy it much, I actually prefer to eat all day and then kill myself towartds the end of the day.

DB Shoulder press

12 1x10, 18.5 1x10

26.5 1xfailed. DAMMNIT, I couldnt get them in place and nearly hurt my joints so I aborted it. This is the only problem about db presses, struggle to get them in position.

23.5 1x10,

26.5 1x8 New Reps :grin:

23.5 1x8,1x6. Lost the plot on the last set, but not too bothered as I made gains still.

Seated Machine Shoulder press

96kg 1x12, 1x10, 1x9 new weight :grin: yay only about another 4 levels to go to max out this machine (I Desperately need the ego stroke of being able to MAX out something other than the body fat scales :lol: )

Front squat 40kg 1x4, aborted, yuck hate this excercise, probably cause I dont know how to do it and it feels real weird. Got to get someone to teach me how to do it.

Iso Lat Leg Press.

3 PPS 1X10, 1X10, 1X6 New Reps :grin:

Lying Leg Curl 54kg 1x10, 1x10, 1x8 new reps. :grin:

Had no time to perform shoulder isolation excercises, but truthfully I would have failed as I was pushed into failure zone by now.

Overall not to bad, but Im annoyed about not being able to get DBS into position to shoulder press by myself.

Hey good to see the great progress while cutting.

Just on a side note, do you guys find that once you stop taking the caffiene that you get really bad headaches? Last time i was cutting i was on caffiene everyday, when i stopped taking it i got really bad headaches.

And where is your second set of photos vv :o

That's a fairly typical symptom of caffeine withdrawal as far as I remember. Fortunately I don't get headaches when I give up caffeine for a while.

Your lucky then Ash, i get really splitting headaches, although as usual i probabley used an insane dose.

Hey guys, caffeine is EVIL. thats it. I wont take 1 200 mg pill more than 3 times a week. It makes me nauseous, jittery, at times shitty, gives me head aches and lows when im off it. I hate it. I only use it now cause I have to spike my metabolism with it,

Pics will be taken n posted tomorrow. Been working like mad and dying with all the uni work etc.

If caffeine affects you like that, something like Ultimate Orange or one of the original ECA stack thermos (where the E actually stood for something) would have taken your head off. :grin:

Your workouts would have been pretty intense though :pfft:

All you need to do is develop a taste for espresso (or ristretto if you're totally mad) and an unhealthy obsession for the finding the strongest coffee in the world and you'll be fine - all the negative side effects pale in comparison to that fantastic aroma and the taste - and then the buzz just tops it off

I tried so hard to give up - two years without coffee and then a weak moment in a cafe in Italy has seen my steady decline, oh well.

55 1x6, 1x6 new weight :grin: haha my close grip bench press and even bb military press will soon exceed my bench press. I think Im a lil unproportional in the chest department.

Fairn enough mate, different strokes for different blokes, I only listen to the rock stuff when lifting.. rest of the time its more mellow stuff like thievery corporation, coldaplay and the likes. Looking forward to your new journal, maybe you should put up your playlist too :P
