lol, yeah, well thats what happens when you get a bit of age on. Got to start looking after the old body. No way I can do proper deadlifts, would kill my lower back off. Squats and deadlifts are never going to be heavy for me. I use a seated pully row machine, (its actually got a bench attached, no seat). Knees slightly bent lean forward, take bar and lean back to a almost flat position. More or less the same as stiff legged deadlifts but with cable machine. Its working and with no lower back problems, and slowly building up strength in that area. Once totally confident, I will consider going back to conventional deadlifts. But for now, would rather train light in some areas rather than spend time off with injuries.
