yeah a lot of people seem to stay around 60kg ive noticed. the only thing i think stops ppl going heavier is not the weight. its the bar digging in

It's not exactly a comfortable movement is it?

Still it separates the men from the boys.

I have problems with the bar digging in on just ordinary squats, we have no pads and i just use my towel.

Must just be a bit soft!!

bar doesnt dig in at ALL on back squats for me. you need to grow some traps man  stop using that girlie towel

Ive noticed everyone saying how the bar digs in on front squats. Ive only been as high as 60 so far and ive had no discomfort whatsoever. Is it only when your lifting really heavy? I rolled my towel long ways across the bar so that towel was on the shoulders and the knurled part of the bar didnt rub on the skin.

bloody hell mate, as if you dont punish yourself enough with insane leg workouts! I get a slight bruise on my neck after every leg workout and i use a towel! It might be from the calf raises though, not sure.

you guys ever get those lines across the back of your traps for a few days after doing squats? ??

they are made from doing HEAVY squats which burst the blood vessels.

the longest i've had was like 10-12cm, looked like a huge cut, it was badass. that was after 4pps (not parallel however)

You just use the bare bar jono? I get those marks on my shoulders even with my girlie towel!! Hate to see what would happen without it.

I dont really want those marks to stay got enough stretch marks etc already.

balance is much easier with just the bar man. try it. you will learn to love it
