thanks all. yeah i will be enjoying the time off.

well todays neck update:

its a LOT better today. was just at the 'doc' apparently the whole office was worried about me cos the injury was so serious  i duno about you but that makes me laugh a bit.

anyway i should be back to the gym next week so long as nothing goes wrong.

also im going to be getting regular checkups just because i stress the hell out of my back with lifting every few weeks. costs 30$ .. so 30 every few weeks i think is not too much to pay to keep in good nick.

also on a lighter note, this week has been the start of uni again for me.. so for each new class i goto i have to answer the SAME QUESTION "hey, how much you bench?" lol! i dont even know these random people. well i guess bb shows

Hey its good that your going to keep getting regular check ups on your spine, its really important to start looking after it from a young age.

Lol at the "how much do you bench" questions  Obviously your hard work is still paying dividens

hope the neck gets better - those chiro visits should sort it out hopefully. I had a shoulder injury not that long ago and was unable to do certain exercises for my upper body like shoulder presses and even TBar rows (which I love!!) so training was a bit depressing! I rested it all last week so didn't do any shoulder training. Its kinda come right now so I did shoulders today but my trainer advised that I should only do 2 exercises and slowly build up to 3 or 4. I was advised to see a chiro too but decided it was too expensive so I just went and had a few deep tissue massages which were lovely

Anyway, hope things come right for you Jono :)

Ahh the primal how much do you bench question ?

Its as natural as male dogs having to lift their legs to pee, but just like Jono I dont bench either LOL, and if you say so to others, they think your trying to be smart / dont wanna disclose :?

Why bench when you can dip / incline db presses ?

Thats the best chest combo IMO.

2 Minor shoulder injuries later I never wanna touch a flat bb bench again.

Are there any specific exercises that you think could have been aggravating your neck?

probably the heavy rack pulls i did months ago with bad form.

or the huge increase in overhead pressing.

todays neck update:

well today the muscle down the side of the neck was basically not inflamed at all. so i had a neck adjustment done. so now the vertibrea is fully back into place

also my back feels a lot better. no more pins and needles down left lat, and i can hit some of my poses better than i could b4 this injury now.

chiro rules

Your neck must have been pretty stuffed for a while if you were getting pins and needles down into your back. Just make sure you keep up the maintenance work on it so this doesn't happen again.

thanks man. yeah the pins and needles on my lat was a bit of a worry

ill be getting maintanance work mayb once every 2 weeks

it would look much better if the size req was slightly higher
