I think next time i do CG's im going back to frees, its not hard to get out of 80-90kgs if you get pinned anyway.

Better you than me mate. I don't fancy getting pinned under that much weight if I can avoid it.

Long ago, before people who worked at gyms were called Personal Trainers, they were happy to help spot a bloke on the heavy sets. These days you've got to give them your VISA card before they get the BB of your throat. :pfft:

lol at my gym theres PTS, and gym staff. the staff will spot you/help you out whenever you need its pretty good.

Gym staff? Wow - you're either at a great gym or you're somehow still training in the 1980s :grin:

The receptionists at my gym are very friendly but I don't think giving people a spot is part of their job description. :pfft:

at my gym when you walk in theres the reception staff. who are all friendly etc. they never come into the gym. then when you go into the gym the pts walk around with their clients. and theres a desk in one corner of the gym where this group of "helpdesk staff" sit. they basically will give you help, show you how to do ex, provide spots etc.. basically whatever help you need

I am overseas at the moment on business so am taking a break off, unplanned, until a couple of weeks ago or so. Will get some cardio on in temp at the moment is 30 degrees at night so I will loose somw weight hopefuly fat.

im so pissed of right now.

this morning i was just standing in the bathroom when suddenly somethin in my neck went out of place. result: cant move my head at all without extreme pain. i considering staying in bed all day because i can basically do nothing. i finally willed myself to drive to uni . wow what a MISSION when you cant move ur head its so damn hard to drive. ive also got a huge leg workout to get through today. im going to give it a go and see what happens. also im considering going to the chiro to fix this fucking neck

Damn jono, thats some bad luck! Im kinda with the others, especially since your doing squats and hacks etc, loading a bar on your traps with a sore neck probabley isnt the best idea, but on the other hand if it were me i would probabley just do the workout anyway.

heres an update all:

well i went to train. but i found i basically coulnt cos it hurt too much. so after tyhis i was like god damnit im going straight to chiro. so i did. apararently i have a vertibrea (sp?) out of place and the muscle down that side of the neck is badly inflammed too. they said it should be fixed in a few days, got go back 2moro morning, (they couldnt fix it properly cus muscle was too badly inflamed) and no training this week.

I feel for you mate, it happens to all of us at one time or another, hopefully it doesnt disrupt your plans too much.

more anoying than anything else. i was really redy to give it my all on legs today.. pretty dissapointing

Just hand in there man and stick with a clean healthy diet.

Think off the week off as a tool to help you raise the weights further next week.

update:

well neck is still destroyed. chiro says in 20+ years thi is the worst case lol. just my luck. anyway it should be getting better in a few days. it is a lot better than it was b4.

Does the chiro have any ideas about why this happened to you? Standing around the bathroom isn't exactly a strenuous activity. :(

lol yeah aparently lack of stretching and just lifting and i must of wrecked it somehow .. remmerb a few monts back i actuyalkly had it but far less seriosuly. and apartly it slipped out of place yesterday.. so i acutally caused it to happen ages ago .. just the effect is now

Well at least you went straight to the chiro, obviously would have been worse had you decided to endure the pain.

So whats the recovery time looking like, will you still be back in the gym next week?

yeah basically i had no choice this thing pretty much made me a handicap.

yeah im hoping next week ill be back into things. ill find out 2moro. see how good it is then.
