on a side note:

i think ive tweaked something in my right shoulder again today. (the same injury that set me back a good month last time)

i can feel it feels a bit tender right now. its liek the delt/pec tie in sorta.

hope its not as bad as last time.

:(:(

couple this with my HATE for training now and i feel depressed about it really. all my workouts are hard now. there are no "fun" workouts anymore. the eating is almost unbearable. eating so much is such a anoying thing to have 2 do.

Cheer up mate, youve made awesome gains recently, your delt / pec tendon issue sounds alot like mine, i got it from doing flat bb bench, i also noticed that decline bench and dips aggravated it and contributed to the injury. Maybe your up down progress on dips is related to this injury???

Eating gets anoying aye, it would be some much better if all food was just liquid and you could just quickly scull it back. Im upping my calories slowely to around 5000 a day, nowhere near it yet but i plan to be by the end of next week.

Your still throwing around heavy weights man, chin up!

That doesn't sound good at all. Damn injuries are the bane of my existence, I think I've become paranoid with my warm up sets trying to stay uninjured.

When I start feeling like that, I cruise for a week or so. I lift at about 80% of max, don't train to failure and back off on the eating for a bit. I also try out a few new exercises to see if there is anything I could add to my routine. After a week of that, I am pretty much foaming at the mouth to get back to the real thing and my motivation goes sky high.

Anyway - hang in there. I know what it's like.

5000 calories a day! Now that's some serious eating. 4600 is about as high as I've gone recently and it wasn't easy to get there.

How much of that is from shakes?

dips may of contributed to it. i really dont know. i can feel it being stretched while i do my warmup sets. and on my last warmup set its fine. totally warmed up and rdy to rock.

eating lol damn. i eat every 2 hrs right now.. thats what ive been doing to gain. so yeah.. its no fun.

yeah i always do lots of warmups. damn injuries suck but liek i said i cant tell how bad it is now. last time i could not train shoulders for several weeks after i did it. so only time will tell.

to be honest i hate toying around with 80% effort. for me its basically all or nothing. i feel like im wasting my time otherwise. so well see how bad it is.

Hey, you have been going really well last few weeks, its always going to get tuff from time to time, we wouldnt be telling you you were doing good workouts if you werent.

I know what you mean about fun workouts all mine seem to suck recently too but that will change just keep what you are doing and make a few little changes to your routine thats all it takes sometimes especially after the high intensity workout you have been having.

keep that food going down too

I think this shit weather we are having gets people down as well.

I know what you mean. That cruise period drives me absolutely round the bend!

All I want to do is crank the reps out until I can't move instead of stopping short but I know it's worth it because I always come back stronger.

Stink to hear you're not enjoying it as much as you usually do bro. Chin up, you know you'll break through it sooner rather than later.

What's wrong with having several shakes? I would have thought it just turned to the same crap once broken up inside you? Never quite understood that. I have 5 scoops of whey a day, so about 100g or a third of my protein comes from shakes atm. Based on my last bulking diet, probabily sitting between 5-6000cal.

Speaking of which- are you keen for that bulk purchase of power now? Flick me a PM.

Shakes are no comparison to real meat. You still get your protein with a shake but there is alot of other goodies in meat.

Yeah been there done that.

Worst ever was tendonitis in my left elbow that nothing seemed to fix - including repeated cortisone shots and all the physiotherapy I could throw at it. I was off for over a year, I couldn't run, couldn't even ride my bike...one of the worst goddamn years ever.

Thank goodness I found someone who did aggressive deep tissue massage to get rid of the scar tissue in the injury site. Hurt like blazes but sorted it out at last.

These days I hit everything including the tiniest of twinges with hard massage, heat and a homeopathic anti-inflammatory that works very well.

Good thing us vegetarians have got shakes then

I just completely dropped soy products from my diet, so I've had to find up to 50 grams of extra protein a day from somewhere else. Just what I need to make my boring diet even more mind numbing.
