hahahahaha that is weird aye. but i think the guy who gets grabbed is just excited(not because of it :? ). but it does look very very funny how his mood appears to change and he clenches his fist. and that fat bitch at the start is funny too.

Ryan Kennelly is another phenominal bencher... I'm more impressed with seeing the raw lifts, theres something about benching with a shirt that takes away the impressiveness of a lift for me.

** Que a lecture from Old Bull**

Here he is throwing around 405 (180kg) for 20 reps like its nothing...

Agreed NZMM, RAW power is what its all about. The current big three benchers in the world no matter what fed are all capable of raw benching 300kg: Mendelson, Kennelly, Brian Siders

I still rate James Henderson's (raw) 322.5kg bench press at the 1997 USAPF nationals as the best bench of all time...he just wore a white t-shirt/soft suit and his trademark gold watch!!! There was a video floating around a while back on the net of Henderson raw benching 300kg x 3.

Hey DP, compared to those I mentioned in the above thread...it seems pitiful :( In 2004 I did a 267.5kg for a touch and go single (in training) and in 2006 down in Timaru I did a 265kg bench RAW at the bench nationals. At the moment I am back to basics after a motorcycle accident back in Jan of this year but the strength levels are picking up nicely...one of my main goals is to bench 600lbs (272.5kg) raw....fingers crossed.

You'll be joining a pretty damn impressive club when you do. Have you targetted a meet for it yet?

http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/record ... ench-press

Not at this stage SS, was looking at a meet this year but but after the accident...I found out the hard way that concrete strainer posts are harder than a tricep muscle and elbow :pfft: ....thank god for my kevlar inserts and my leathers!!! A provincial or national meet next year would definitely be on the cards for an attempt.

Tonka, wat sorta bike u got bro?

Hey 2G, good to see you back from the "ban". Unfortuately the bike I came off wasnt mine  ...but you know the rule, you drop it you own it (my mate has another brand new Z1000) and now I am the owner of a fixed up and on the shop floor 2008 Z1000 as well as my 2007 ZX14. I needed a big bike to cater for my size and I tried the Busa as well as several others but I loved the 14 too much and I dont regret that purchase one bit! Not much of a cruiser bike fan (for now anyway) as I have always loved the sportsbikes.

Do you ride bro?....motorbikes that is....had to get that last bit in before our forum thread hijackers take advantage of that question... :pfft:

I know what you mean bro, I had to humble myself (couldnt stop thinking about that bloody L-plate) and go for my licence only in 2006. There were just more and more bikes on the road and my luck was running thin not getting pulled over by the boys in blue when I scooted around on my mates bikes. I actually got a dispensation for my licence as I went from a Learners straight to a full BUT I was allowed to ride a higher cc rating bike from day one.

We did it by cruising around different shops taking photos of me on bikes from a 250 right up to 1000+cc rating. I also got the boys from Mt Eden Motorcycles to write me a letter and along with the photos attached them to my dispensation letter to Land and Transport. They said the it was one of the best letters thay have had - so not only did I bypass the Restricted phase I also got to ride a bike bigger than 250 (I actually bought a brand new Z750).

Out of interest a Top ranked NZ bodybuilder from Auckland who I know really well got his full license around the same time as me and he too did the same thing. He too went from a learners to full in 6 months as well as rode 1000+cc bike from day one.

...Getting bigger does have it benefits bro....hope you bite the bullet as well and go for it!
