Over training

Recommended Posts

I have a mate who is huge, he works out in the morning and then again in the evening. he is an ex-rugby player and is pretty used to intensive training.

I have been warned by many not to over train, but when I mentioned it to him it was as if he had no idea what I was on about. He will train almost 6 days a week like this and is just getting bigger. I kinda feel like an idiot for not following suit.

Hes a pretty cool dude with a great attitude, tonight he brought into the gym all the photo's he has of himself shaking hands with Ronnie, Jay, Gunther, Lou and even Arnold. Taken a couple years ago when his missus shouted him a trip to America for his Birthday.

I was very Jealous.

Also can I just ask if anyone here is a Christian, I am and dont know many Bodybuilders or strength trainers who are.

Thank you

Yeah exactly.

Maybe he just doesnt want to think about it. Kinda like ignore it and it wont effect him.

i have tried myself, but found myself burnt out, sore and staying away from the gym almost just as long.

Is this about you or your mate? I know you can't be gay in the christian religion- but do you think you have a slight man crush? :pfft:

It is very individual, some people can train twice a day for 2 hours a session and keep making great gains from it while others start getting burnt out training more than 2 or 3 times a week.

I know as far as myself, when building maximum size 3-4days is the best. But others just wont grow unless there in the gym daily.

Trial and error is the only way to go in this game
