did naera compete in figure ? when? i thought she was physique since way back

Good spot, Small. I just copied-and-pasted the email, so you know as much as I do.

Laver, apologies for the short notice. I'll try to get events up quicker next time, although in this case it would only have been a few days earlier. If you can't make it to this one, you might be interested in a series of 12 posing workshops being held from 18 May to 27 July. I don't have any more info on that just yet, but will update you as soon as more details come to hand. Alternatively, you could contact Timikara at the address above.

Cool any going to be organised for Wellington?

Mastertel did a free seminar at Les Mills a couple of months ago, I think that he may have another one up his sleeve prior to the North Island Champs in September. :)

Yes, Manu, thats correct - I'll be organising a comprehensive seminar/workshop in Masterton in July or early August.

The main reason for the time and location of this seminar is to assist those competitors aiming to compete at the NZFBB North Island Champs in Masterton on September 27. It will once again be a free seminar, and open to anyone regardless of whether they have a comp coming up or are just curious about competitive bodybuilding.

The February seminar in Wellington went well - I plan to do another one in Wellington in early September to help prepare what I hope is a large number of competitors from the lower North Island as they build towards the NZFBB Nationals on October 18.

Even though these seminars are more specific to NZFBB contest criteria, they will also be of use to NABBA or INBA competitors - we certainly don't discriminate between competitors of different organisations (but obviously would like them to do NZFBB events! )

I'm sure Timikara will put on a great seminar at Club Physical this weekend - he's a top bloke and very passionate about bodybuilding.

we certainly don't discriminate between competitors of different organisations

that would have to be a first?

Definitely not, 2guns - that attitude (i.e. not discriminating) has always been the case at any seminar I have organised in the past few years. Why wouldn't we warmly welcome NABBA or INBA competitors to our seminars and events?

I know you're trying to be clever, 2guns, but smart-arse comments like that only help fuel any supposed rift between the various organisations.

And I do back up my beliefs - one of the many reasons why I competed in 5 NABBA events in 2006.

one of the many reasons why I competed in 5 NABBA events in 2006.

and thats y yr not allowed to anymore...

i was more referring to the shows over the seminars.. i.e payng a new joining fee if u compete for another fed if u wish to compete again for nzfbb in the same year u had already paid a joining fee to start with and the point u made before about u doing nabba shows etc etc, would u not call this discrimination...

but u are talking about seminars i am talkign bout shows, we have got things mixed up.

im not shit stirring, just making a valid point about nzfbb discriminating against nabba competitors by making them pay a 2nd time or saying to ppl involved in the fed, if u want anything to do with us u cant compete for them.

please corect me if im wrong and i never make a smart comment without having a point to it

Correct. As it stands now, if I (as an NZFBB Executive member) wanted to compete in another organisation I would lose my position on the Executive. I had many valid and positive reasons why I did that in 2006, which I explained in a much earlier topic.

YOU mixed things up, 2guns. I was ONLY talking about seminars (i.e. this topic), so your very brief and unqualified comment could be taken by anyone reading it to mean we discriminate on who can attend our seminars, which is totally untrue. I needed to make that clear.

im not shit stirring, just making a valid point about nzfbb discriminating against nabba competitors by making them pay a 2nd time or saying to ppl involved in the fed, if u want anything to do with us u cant compete for them.

It is a strict IFBB regulation that any member who competes for another organisation immediately forfeits their membership - this is why we have to make people rejoin if they want to compete in an NZFBB show. When I did those 5 NABBA shows in 2006 I had to pay 5 x $45 in total ($225) to rejoin the NZFBB immediately after competing at each event. If I wasn't on the Exec I could have waited until my next NZFBB comp to rejoin. But now, as you rightly point out, I would lose more than my NZFBB membership if I did that again.

Fair enough to raise some of these issues, 2guns - but just be a bit more careful when you fire off some of your comments as they can give others the completely wrong idea!

Yeah - very good question, Small. I've seen a couple of very impressive photos of Mark when I visited Mark and Jo a while ago, but I'm not aware of any electronic versions available for viewing.

I'll contact Mark and see if he or Jo have any that can be posted - perhaps on Jo's website if he doesn't mind.
