Yus will do the same, NICs in Masterton and Nattys. Whole year to gain some size and make sure I come in super ripped this time.

I just had to try some of that babaganush (sp?) that NZMM was eating a while back, not bad. Still feel like I'm going to explode!! Breakie today was 4 vogels toast; 1 Nutella and 1 PB and 2 plain with a couple of eggs hmmm only had one protein shake today, need to sort my diet out tomorrow for sure  I was going to have some chicken for lunch but a pack of cookies looked more appetising

haha yeah thanks for the jubes doll! Man yeah was going to make a giant cake, was so busy and tired though. Just tidied my piggy as house today and did all my washing and got the tan off all my bed/gears/bikinis, still got weights/bike and swiss ball in my lounge though.

Another thing I learnt is take 3 times as much food as you need, or don't be a piglet like me and eat whole comp days food in 1/2 a day :pfft:

Hmmm nope I did look at the almond roca in the supermarket yesterday and didn't get any as I know I would eat the lot! I highly recommend it though, its very nic indeed! But if you are anything like me you will want to eat the lot too :shifty:

Aahh, I was just having you on  I don't expect anyone to frickin slave over an oven the night before a show when they're competing! I hear you on the piggy mess, I've been cleaning and trying to get through the mountains of tan covered washing since Sunday. And goddammit I can't stop eating!! :shifty:

Oooh, and thanks Small :D It was a tough line-up. Going up against THE national champ was daunting!!!!

The incredible swollen woman: My story

Well at Masterton a whole week afterwards I got water retention and shot up 65-70kgs. It went away within 7 days however I was seriously contemplating not doing Nationals.

This time it is worse. I spent all of last night in hospital. I had every test under the sun. ECG, urine, bloods etc....Thankfully I am 100% healthy, more so than most infact, however I am carrying over 10kgs of fluid on my body, yep I weigh close to 80kgs in less than a week!!!

The doctors are stumped and said I am a very unusal case. I did some research on the net before I went in as I have cankles and no knees, my face is round and swollen, no wrists. I find it hard to breath when I walk and do normal stuff.

A natural chemical of some sort is released when you dehydrate your body on comp day to try and grab hold of any drop of water you consume. Unfortunately in my case my body does not stop producing this chemical or whatever the f*ck it (can't remember actual term) is hence swelling continues and has not stopped.

My only advice from docs was to rest and drink heaps of fluids. Oh yay 100 cups of green tea later I am still the michellen man!!

YES I did take diuretics each time, and probably should have loaded potasium however I'm not sure it would have helped me much.

I will be competing in a years time and this time I think I will get super lean and not touch any diuretics and hope my body doesn't react so badly.

Been sleeping a lot and look like utter shit. My friend Ra popped around today and I think she had a bit of a shock, and she had a wee giggle with me at my roundedness, hey we have to joke, I am healthy afterall so phew :)

Hopefully I won't be resembling the good year blimp next week when I hit training and dieting hard again :(

Awww J, this must be frustrating hug.gif

Not fair that you have to suffer through this after the dieting ! Hope you feel better soon.
