You may be right, given your background and experience, but I'd go with Vince Gironda, who "felt that sissy squats, Smith-machine squats done with the feet forward, and hack squats developed more aesthetically pleasing leg shape and mass while minimizing growth in the glutes, hips and waistline". So, unless biggurl wants bigass to match :grin: , there's some merit in sissys.

BB.com goes on to say that "Even the most hardcore regular squatter can be whimpering in pain after a proper set of bodyweight sissy squats".

Super-set bb- and sissy-squats, and see what happens :pfft:

Squats add size to your waistline? Surely all they can target is the Obliques?

Crap really? :-s Lucky I have such a massive back to compensate for my wide waiste :pfft: :lol:

Just trained legs, did extns, squats, leg press, leg curls at lunch and will do some stinking lunges tonight at home, they suck arse :madman:

If you want big legs???? Then leg press is where its at in my book!!!!!! Bring the weight down as far as possible with out lifting your heels off the plate......... push all the weight back up through your heels. Do lots of calf stretching, the more flexible your calf's are the lower you can go. Going deep ( to your ears :pfft: ) will give sweep all the way to your hips :nod: :nod: and you gotta love that \:D/ \:D/

Squats have there place, but i only do them last. pre exhaust with walking lunges or leg extensions. Otherwise i find my lower back giving in first. Legs day is for legs not a lower back pump.
