Exercise:

AM: 40mins cardio (walk)

PM: Back Wo + Abs

S/S standing db rows 9kg 10 9 10 10

-lat pulldown 75lbs 8 8 8 8

S/S leg raises lying on bench 15 15 15 15

-b/b row 22.5kg 12 12 12 12

S/S crunchies 20 20 20 20

-hanging leg raises 10 10 10 10

40mins cardio (tmill, 30mins@10incline, lvl 5; 10mins@0incline lvl 6, 280cals)

Diet:

8AM 1/2cup oats, 1 scoop pp

11AM 1 pack miniwheels ricecakes, 1 can tuna

1PM 100G kumara, 100g chicken

330PM 1/4cup oats, 1 scoop pp

530PM 1 pshake

8PM 150G chicken, 200G brocolli

weigh in: 61.5kgs electronic scales, 60kgs manual scales

this is number is quite disheartening, but il keep dieting; the mirror never lies

couldnt sleep last nite; went to bed at 1020pm and didnt get to sleep until 12!then woke up 545am..grr! really tired by afternoon tea today, so gym was shizz, but cardio was hard n good !

Do you do girths (measuring waist, hips, biceps, quads with tape) at your weigh-ins?

Do them, and trust them before you start sweating the scales...otherwise it's a total mindfark!

but fo real, jus been looking at all sorts of resources, contest preps etc farrk i got shit loads of work to do. il b (hopefully) taking and posting pics this weekend.

mind iz the biggest obstacle at this point...

O and the 8ish kgs to looooooseeeee......

How many weeks you got now? Why 8kgs, do you have to be under a specific weight category or is that your weight last time? If not you may be a bit heavier this time with more muscle? 5kgs pretty much goes in the last week though aye, piss it out haha sorry I must be tired! D

Agree with what TFB and Biggurl have said.. stay off the scales! :naughty:

If you must.. weigh once a week :nod: It'll just screw with your mind if you focus on it. Especially with us girls.. water weight fluctuates from day to day, and all the scale tells us is how much we weigh in TOTAL, not how much muscle we have :nod: Go by the mirror, measurements and clothes... and compliments! ;) Remember.. the judges don't care how much you weigh petal ;)

How come you couldn't get to sleep?

For gawdsake don't focus on weight - muscle is heavier than lard and if you start fixating on the scales you'll only freak yourself out. Hell, I do that already - and I'm not competing this year, so I imagine I'll be spinning out like a DVD every second day when I get close to my first comp! :pale:

Eat clean, train to the plan - if you start second-guessing yourself you'll just make things worser...

Exactly..... your body composition is changing, you are gaining muscle, cms are going and loosing fat. Stay off those freeking scales! Do your measurements and weigh yourself every Friday only and you will see increases in your bi's, quads, calves, back/chest and loosing cms on waist/butt. Weight loss may be minimal but at least you are loosing fat and gaining muscle.

ive got 7weeks and 4 days, um yeah i gues 8kgs is a ball park figure from last time, i was 54.4kgs at last weigh in b4 i dropped the rest of my water and weighed in the day of a comp at 52.6kgs (however the next comp was 49kgs but looked shit, was prolly fatter - uno lost muscle definately from over dieting) so 8kgs is just a figure ive materalised :? i hope i have more muscle - but with the injury and no proper training for a while i thought muscle wastage probly wouldve occured rather.

okay okay haha il do mesurements, with a bf test uno for sure so im like a blind man in a field, hav no idea atm, jus goin by scale! weigh ins are always mondays but yes i agree, and hav been doing jus once a week.

i hav no idea why i couldnt sleep, and it esp annoying wen u know ure gona need all ure energy. i lay ther for over two hours, rolling around, my mind going from food to exercise to gym to food to cardio to ball to food... haha you get the picture :wink:

Hey Small, if it's any consolation I'm in the same boat. F@%*ing scales still saying 60.9kg!!! What - with all the cardio and training - how is this possible??? But, pants are looser! :? :?

its the mind i rekon, yeah that make me feel abit better :) knowing someone else is having to starve and sweat like me :pfft:

yeah trained this morning fasted, not ideal but meh, it feels super knowing i dont hav to go back to gym tonight after school, only go 4 an hour or so cardio round my area.

no my dream aktualy was more like i was in the car with my mum n cousin and my cuz wanted B.K which was nowhere near where we were and it was raining and my cuz demanded it so my poor mum drove in the wet to go get it for her, BUT she did drop me off on the way to walk home in the rain...

well sorta, mum and dad dont pay for anything for me (last year they didnt even pay for my chicken) so wen u are unemployed it gets hard. they also dont support me wen im fussy and moody :wink: but thats good.

yeah! i no wat u mean - i was glad {recently} ma nana's funeral wasnt a fullblown tangi...i was in the kitchen scoffing all the mini mince pies as quick as mum was cooking them hahaha...(o 3weeks ago...seems like a lifetime ago now..good old mince pies !) so imagine the deal if we had hangis and the works !!!
