Wow - i can't walk! I am so sore but still in a positive frame! I just think of it as progression. Having my assessment and photo done tomorrow by my personal trainer so will but the stats up as soon as! Then you can all see my progress. I will be getting assessed every 2 weeks to keep me on track and help me stay motivated. Trained last night Chest / Tri's & Bi's and finished with some cardio. Planing to train Back and shoulders today. Just easing back into the weights in a couple of weeks i am hoping to absolutely start ripping it up! Talk to you all tomorrow. Take Care all

Hey Tash,

Remember that in all walks of life you run across a certain % of real mean people (he said, trying to be polite)...sure, mean people suck, but this is about you, not them.

The new age version of the best advice I've heard is probably "Give yourself permission to have the body you want" - the short version is "To hell with them!".

Good luck, don't let them derail you, and keep posting!

PS - we've all got work to do - I was 33% heavier than I am now when I started training....

Wow - that is awesome advice and i was talking to my trainer last night. He also stated that maybe they feel a tad threatened when people lose weight. However it is no need to be mean. It actually makes me more determined than ever to achieve my dream goal. Thanks for the support keep it coming guys. Tons of love light & Joy - Tash

P.S - Rather sore today - ouch at least i know i am training hard! :pfft:

Totally agree! People who don't have the motivation and discipline to do what it takes to do what you're doing often feel bad about themselves, so they try and make you feel bad about yourself too - somehow makes them feel better

One of my favourite quotes goes something like "obsessed is just a word lazy people used to describe the determined" :D

Hang in there Tash, sounds like you're working hard!

Well what can i say - things are going very well indeed. Have been very busy at work. Training is going awesome. I've also discovered these supplements on the internet site http://www.internationalsupplements.com. It is called the weight loss package and it is curbing my appeitite and also giving me peak energy without losing sleep at night. Check out the ingrediants on the web site and let me know what you guys think. My trainer put me onto them and the price is exceptionally reasonable ($59.95 NZ to get them including post and packaging) for 120 capsules you take 2 a day. Its about a six week supply.

So far my results are as follows: -

Weight Loss - 3.5 kg

Body Fat Percentage Loss - 3.5%

Skin Fold Loss - 22

Lean Muscle Gain - 1.9kg

Body Fat (KG) Loss - 3.7 kg

Feeling really great - however i think my results would be a lot better if i stuck it out in my nutrition. Tips anyone???? I start the week off awesome with my nutrition and then it turns to custard around Thrusday / Friday. How can i overcome this?????

Thanks for keeping it real my fellow fitness freaks :pfft:

Hey Tash, Great to hear from you... those are great numbers, you should be pleased with them

As for the end-of-the-week slump, that's what I find too, it's "when the rubber hits the road"...I have to talk myself through it pretty much every week. In my case I'm sure half of it's psychological - the amount of actual food's the same, but maybe things like serotonin levels drop.

Anyhow, what I do is things like remind myself what I want at the end...every damn handful of chips or nuts (or Peanut Slab yum!!!) simply defers the day the six-pack turns up; so, I tell myself what I want more....bad food or good body!

If it helps, and you can do it, put up some motivational stuff at home or work - pictures of what your goal is, little reminders and the like.

Talk to supporters, not knockers... I got given an article once about "saboteurs" who can't stand to see you making gains, so they'll deliberately drop by with temptations, to bring you down. So, when the going gets tough about five minutes to lunchtime on Friday, find someone who understands :-)

Hey, it ain't easy (says someone who couldn't turn down some homemade icecream last night!) but with the right help you'll master it!

Hey - thanks for chasing me up (it keeps me real) :pfft:

Well last week was a nightmare and the first of my hurdles i guess. My grandmother passed away so i lost my mojo for a while. Did not train all week and boy i can feel it. Back to training today though. Surprisingly i didn't pig out like i thought i would. I usually eat when i am stressed or emotional but i pretty much stuck to my nutrition although i did have a piece of cake on Saturday. My partner and i have started doing a walk every night incorporating some shuttle runs and hills sprints. My partner has started training for rugby so it's quite good to have him there to push me. Well i post my training up tomorrow - keep it coming guys my mojo is a bit flat :(

Oh wow, that's sad. Sympathies on your loss.

Give yourself major credit for the fact that you didn't do what many of us would have done under the circumstances, and get stuck into the tea and scones/ bikkies and all the rest. Heck, I know I would have, if only because everyone around you is in the same place, and it's easier to join in than to stand apart.

It's great that you stuck to the plan, really awesome - you're closer to those goals as a consequence. It's neat to hear that you're able to get out with your partner and hit the streets, you'll top up the mojo in nothing flat...it's just a shame that (at least hereabouts) the summer's pretty much gone!

MAN I LOVE THIS SITE

Not only does it boost my self esteem it gives me credit in regards to the obstacles that we overcome on a daily basis. As you are your own worst critic it is sometimes hard to see what you ahve actually acheived. I think i have found a new best friend in Fatboy - you rock. I am a Wellington Girl (Born and breed in Waikanae if you please!!!!!!!!!!!)

Thanks for the support you've just restored the rest of the mojo that i thought i had lost!!!!!

Love to all

Hey Tash....u been quiet, hope the power walks continue!

Wellieworld's not bad, apart from the wind. Makes running a real drag when you get to Point Jerningham in record time, only to turn around and hit the headwind...and you've no choice but to hang in there!

Mind you, I'm a Mainlander at heart - bleed blue-and-gold (esp with the Highlanders recent form

Yep - still pounding those paveways - although my dog Haze did my head in last night when i was running - little minx.

I am shrinking slowly but surely and i guess that's the best way to do it. Nutrition is good although i am really craving fish n chips at the moment if you please. But i know that i will just feel sick if i eat that - so i am steering clear of the local fish n chip shop.

Yesterday i did shoulders / abs / cardio - i have new program and boy i am feeling it. My trainer has all these little inspiration quotes all over the gym and he put a new one up that i took a copy of and stuck on my fridge - it goes a little something like this:

"Nothing tastes as good as the feeling you have when your buff, fit and looking good."

Great ah! Well best get back to work - take care all my fellow fitness freaks.

Love to ya all :pfft:

So Tash, how's it goin? Eating clean, walking the dog, all good?

Remember this quote:

"Pain is temporary, but if I quit, that's forever" Lance Armstrong

I first saw that on a bike, halfway round Lake Taupo...and it got me to the finish line.

Cheers
