Day 1 - Chest, Sholders, Tris

Bench Press

12 x 40kg

10 x 60kg

5 x 65kg

3 x 68kg

8 x 60kg

I hit 4x 70kg about 4weeks ago. haven't got it again yet, pissing me off.

Incline DB Press

10 x 16kg

8 x 18kg

6 x 18kg

Incline DB Flyes

12 x 6kg

10 x 7kg

12 x 8kg

These are a new exercise for me, so still figuring out where I'm at

DB Shoulder Press - Seated

12 x 10kg

8x 12kg

7 x 12kg Fail

Side Lateral Raise - Standing

12 x 6kg

10 x 7kg

8 x 7kg

Full Body Dips

8 x Bodyweight

Kneeing cable overhead tricep extension

10 x 40Lb

12 x 40Lb

8 x 50Lb miss

2nd set was supposed to be 50lb.. forgot to change it..

Overall average workout, still trying a few new things, really wanting to up my bench but its not happening at the moment, I really dont think i've hit a plateau this early, but am considering changing to a 5 x 5 plan in 4weeks if I don't get any better weight increments.

Expanding on the bench press, on the 8th Jan I did..

Bench

12 x 60

5 x 65

4 x 67.5

As you can see little change, no diet change since then.

I am attributing my lack of success over the last 3 weeks to sleep, I had a really bad sleep period for about 9 days in between then and now, not because of lack of discipline, just was struggling to get more than 6 hours a night.

Good to see you've got yourself started in here. I'm looking forward to your legs workout. What are you goals again? I seem to recall they are somewhat similar to mine lift-wise.

I dont really have goals lift wise, only one is really to get my bench up asap, 90kg wud be nice.

My legs is tomorrow morning, so tune in at.. 8:30am and itll be up (unless im late for work in which case 5pm)

Goals leg wise is just increase lifting weight and gain some shape in my legs, considering i've only done legs in the last 2weeks the gains should come fairly easy for a little while.

Other than that im cutting up, once I get below 10% body fat ill start putting on some lean mass.

Are you dieting? Just my experience, but it seems that progress on the bench seems to stall/or get worse when I diet but am still able to maintain or increase on squats & deads for some reason.

Hope things get better in the sleep department 6ef12e2f.gif

I am cutting, but not heavily or fast, supposed to be a slow cut / muscle gain diet - so im not exactly FTM but not starving myself either.

Ya sleep is getting better and better so its good, almost back to normal, just had a lot on my mind lately (exciting bb / nurtition stuff) and also a reasonable change in patterns for morning trainings etc

As you can see little change, no diet change since then.

You've gone from lifting 1315kg on 8th January to lifting 2089kg on the 22nd. How do you see that as little change - that's a 37% increase in weight lifted in 2 weeks. Perhaps you're aiming too high if you don't see that as a good increase.

Hmm, I see where your comming from, But I could lift 8,000kg worth of 30kg weight, but I wouldnt see that as an increase - the 12 x 40 at the start is really just warmup, I would be inclineds to only count the 60kg + reps, but im more aiming for more reps at my top level or higher weight at top level...

That is a different way to look at it though.
