Life Casting

Thought some of you fullas & fullesses might be interested in this.

This is a shameless plug for a friend of mine who, among other things, creates life cast sculptures - I'm hoping this is alright Pseudonym, it doesn't clash with any of the site's advertisers (maybe you could do an advertising deal in exchange for a casting.....just an idea :wink: ).

Most of you lot are in much better shape that I am (I've been slack lately) and capturing a permanent "snapshot" of the human body in its prime is an awesome idea in my opinion.

The casts are made of plaster & are then painted etc.

Below is my posterior ...... I was well out of shape but still surprised at how fat I don't look.

As for what he charges for commissions, it all depends on what you are getting done & how big it is. I'm not sure how much the one of my back would be - I only let him cast me for an exhibition he was having - someone else bought it as far as I know.

That's quite cool. I wonder if the casts could be tweaked? You know, take a chisel to the abs, slap a bit more plaster on the biceps...
