Nasty twinge in my hip today. Very sore, so no squats. I think I'll be booking myself into the physio.

Incline DB Bench Press

15x8

27.5x3 - Not too hard to push up but my support muscles let me down

27.5x6 - A lot more steady this time

25x8

Deadlift

60x5

90x5

110x5

125x5

EASY! Took my shoes off, don't know if that helped, but they went up pretty well today. I felt like I kept better form than last week. Bring on 127.5!

Chinups

BW(85~kg)x4x3

WG Lat Pulldown

120lbx8

140lbx6

It does 2 things lowers you to the ground making the bar higher better leverage, and a more stable footing to drive through the heels. Wearing runners your feet move around to much like squatting on Gyms rubber flooring.

Next session drive through your heels, pull the bar as close to your body as you can on the way up.

If 125 was easy, then I dare you to hit 130 next time

I don't know if it was quite that easy!

I am now more than happy to say that I'm a member of Powerhouse Gym!

I went to the main uni gym today (there are two of them, I usually go to the smaller one which doesn't have a squat rack - so I've been squating in the SM). I really wanted to start squatting properly and to my dismay there were 5 people either using or lining up for the rack. So I thought f*ck it, ran down to Powerhouse and signed up.

I didn't record my session today as I spent it with OB working on my form for squat. My weights when down a bit on the Bench Press 'cause the Powerhouse weights are a tad heavier (no BS!).

All the plates at my gym are 45lb plates too.. or 20.4kgs or whatever. I just count them as 20s.

Yay for the new gym! I'm going to Welly next month for a bit and am looking forward to popping into the Powerhouse for a looksee

Welcome to the Windy City :)

Yep, I can count twentys...but adding up all those diddy little half-kilo chunks taxes my brain....it's like including the weight of the sled on incline press....sure, it prolly weighs 50kg, but it's always there...

The good thing is, we all know what a 20kg plate feels like on the bar (or dropped on the floor!)

Do not know whether you would get away with just a looksee

You might have to workout before you can walkout

LOL
