mike-311
I notice not a lot of people in my gym focus much attention on there forearms.I know the forearms come in to play with a good many of the upper body exercise we my do anyway. But I feel forearm training is just as important as isolation training of any other body part.It would be like doing legs but not bothering to hit your calves.I always hit my forearms during a good arm work out, moving up through the weights and keeping track of there progress. Also I spent a good amount of time while I'm working, walking around using my grips and swapping hands when one forearm has fatigued and had enough.Becos I utilize my grips often I have found that I hardly if ever need to use straps when dead lifting and the like. What do you guys do for your forearms? Sheta
How about trying Zottman curls or reverse EZ bar curls (palms down).
AlBundy
Grippers are only good if you get the decent ones. Normal store ones that you can do 100 reps on are useless for grip strength.

chchardgainer
yea my forearms are pretty good, muscle and vascular and i never do them, you incorporate them into a lot of exercises so i dont really see the need for isolation

Bigboy
One handed lat pull downs with palm facing outwards - you would expect this exercise to do much for the forearms, but it will train the both brachoradialis and the various flexor groups of the forearm muscles. Growing Concern
I agree, I don't think it is necessary but then we all have certain bodyparts we do or do not train depending on genetics, I guess if your forearms are in proportion then why bother. If your forearms are to big for your upper arms then your upper arms just look smaller. i guess the same can be said for abs, some of us do not train abs either. If your forearms are to big for your upper arms then your upper arms just look smaller. i guess the same can be said for abs, some of us do not train abs either.I agreeI have never liked having skinny forearms and big upper arms, which is why I train them in such a concentrated fashion.I now find my arms in much better proportions then before, but I spose some people must just naturally have big forearms.I can tell fellow lifters easily when I look at there forearms and they are veiny and chunky, but some lifters forearms are skinny, which I actually think makes the rest of there arm look skinny if they are wearing t-shirts;.
