poos_n_wees
Haven't been desperate enough to try these yet... so if anyone gives them a go lemme know how they turn out :pfft: Makes 4 servings.1 head of cauliflower1/4 cup olive oil1 tbsp saltDirections:Preheat oven to 200C.Cut out and discard cauliflower core and thick stems. Trim remaining cauliflower into florets the size of golf balls. In a large bowl, add cauliflower, olive oil, and salt. Toss thoroughly.Spread cauliflower on a baking sheet and roast for 1 hour, or until much of each floret has become golden brown. (That’s the caramelization process converting the dormant natural sugars into sweetness. The browner the florets, the sweeter they will taste.) Turn three or four times during roasting. Pseudonym
Wow. That's, ummm, different. I'm tempted to try it just to see what happens.200C is quite hot, isn't it? Especially if you're roasting for an hour. Where did you find this one, PnW?
poos_n_wees
I stole it from a Low Carb forum I think.. or it could've been from BR.com - it was filed away in my "Recipes to try" folder :pfft: I think the longer you roast for, the crunchier they get? 200C does seem a bit excessive.. maybe it doesn't take the whole hour, might just need to keep a close eye on them while they're roasting.
