Cheap Protein Shake

Ok so I'm poor at the moment and unfortunately can't make it to the gym due to exams/study. Still busting out the pushups and light dumbell exercises at home (cant stop completely, have too much energy) so I want to keep my protein intake up. Have just run out of musashi bulk, will try some of the bulk fonterra isolate next, but in the mean time I'm using:

500ml Skim/Trim milk (the 0.2% stuff)

as much trim milk powder that will dissolve and then some.

Is this any good as a source of protein? Will contain high amount of lactose I should imagine and sometimes if I'm feeling soft I will flavour it with milkshake powder. Would it be too slow releasing if I was to use it when I go back to the gym before the fonterra stuff arrives?
