Ive just stocked up with my tub of EAS 100% whey protein and want to know when the most beneficial time is to hav it afta my workout.Ive also read about having a sugary drink afta my workout to replenish energy levels and create a insulin spike for tha absorbtion of the protein powder.

Basically i want to know...(A)When do i hav my sugary drink?

(B)Wot is a sufficient drink for this?

©How long afta ive had this drink

do i hav my protein shake?

Ive read theres window of opportunity for consuming these so i just really want to get it right and get specific timeframes please...

Ur thoughts would be xtrmly apreciated.

the sugary drink should be dextrose of maltedextron, this is hi GI therefore causes the spike. have your protein shake within the 15 minutes of this then have a meal, high protein, moderate carbs low fat 45-60 minutes post workout.

Thanks for the information im trying to take it in.When you say it should be dextrose of maltedextron wot does this actualy mean and can you sugest an example of drink that would be suitable for this please and if i can actualy aquire this frm the local supermarket or will i hav2 buy this frm a supplement store....sorry bout all the questions but i just wana tryn get a good understanding of it all.

yea buy some dextrose from the supermarket, and have your protein and dextrose in the same meal, the insulin spike from the simple sugars helps to drive the protein into the muscle cell.
