teamfatboy
Newby Question....is it easier to make an egg-white omelette in the microwave using one of those plastic omelette things than in a pan, and are they big enough for a 10-egg omelette? Thanks

teamfatboy
That's how I got the eggwhites out of the shells What the heck, I didn't want to sitdown and let the aches of last night's leg session die away, I felt like standing over the sink chipping debris out of the microwave! blairandkelly
i was getting 4 kg bottles of egg white from a company about a year ago they were a bit suspect on me though , my story was that i was a caterer and made alot of pavlovas and merangs i paid 17 bucks per 4 kg bottle heaps cheaper than whats available elsewhere,
poos_n_wees
Too much Blair. If you ever do just end up doing it the HARDKOR3!1!! way, try out this method: The Perfect OmeletteI generally suck at cooking, but I make perfect egg white omelettes
Lyndon
yep those microwave omlette thingys kickass BUT ONLY IF YOU MAKE IT WRONG ok basically you pour ya whisked eggs into the compartment (about 4 eggs max?) and close the whole thing then zap , dont leave open like it sayszap for 2-3 mins and voilla! egg white omlette and allready to go! throw in some nuts or salami pre cooking if your not going low carb/low fat.also i know it sounds sick but i did a eggwhite omlette with splenda and a lil vanilla escence mixed in and was kinda like a soggy pavlova lol not hardcore dieting atm tho... queen
I am lazy and I find when im half asleep in the morning the eggwhites taste like rubber i long gave up on adding salt and pepper and simply zap them for 1.5 mins in the microwave I since last week have been reconsidering this plan of attack after putting my spoon in the eggwhites and having it literally explode in the kitchen and on my shirt and face and waking me up too suddenly.Maybe I need to find a chef that will happily get up and make me perfect egg white concoctions in the morning That would be nice. Im actually a great cook just dont do it first thing in the morning and the microwaving of the eggwhites has probably put me off their texture. Might look out for one of those microomlette thingys. It IS nice - my better half has been quite supportive about pan-cooking my omelettes every morning, and she got really good at it I've never liked microwave omelettes tho..for the most part they were warm, cooked, but lacking something...For all that, I got frustrated by the time it took to eat the damn thing, pan-cooked or microwaved, so I just love my egg-white shake...blend, pour, drink, done! queen
rubbery would be my word! But yea very nice to have one cooked for you in the morning. I get annoyed with my eggs too they are too hot or I just want to get them in so it can be done that and cod liver oil and get on with my day. I am just not much of a morning person I guess
