Smith Machine

I know using the smith for bench is bad for shoulders if hitting chest.

I use it for lower pec bench work, but wouldnt mind using for flat and incline also, as I dont have anyone to spot me and I dont feel to safe going real heavy with out one.

I keep a note book of my max lift/rep potential which I date each time I go up so I can try beat it each week or two, but have hit a plateau.

I hit my chest hard with flyes which is a good burn but I really want to up the stakes.

I cant do too much with D/bells cos of an arm injury effecting my ROM in my right. (Being treated by physio and anti flam's)

Any suggestions?
