mike-311
I have a weird kind system where I simply exhaust the muscle with a light weight then pulverise it with a medium to heavy weight until that muscle is pumped to the max and aching. I may do it 2 or 3 times then move on. Ive gotten huge doing this.but I don't really make noticeable leaps in weight for weeks or months, but may go up slightly over that time. How often do you put the weight up?
Marcus
I keep a logbook of my workouts & if I'm focused on gaining mass (eating excess calories), my goal is to beat the logbook every workout. If I'm dieting my goal is to lift the same weight as the previous workout.
Cammo
Every workout I try & up the weight - even if it's only on one of the exercises for each muscle group.
Dragonlor
yea i try to up the weight on at least 1 exercise every workout even if it's just for 1 set. On a bad day i'll do the same weight/reps as last workout, on a horrible day i'll do lighter weight
fergie01
Yeah, I try to up my weight on most workouts/muscle groups, even if its by 1.25 kg. I recently been doing 12, 10, 8, 8 reps and increasing it for the 12 and 10 reps and hitting out with the same 8 reps with the increased weight that I get to, each to there own....but I am seeing results.
