oolaef
Hey everyone,Just need some advice- Im 21, male, and around 74kg at 6', so not overweight or underweight (I don't think?), but I have an issue with my build.. I have a fair bit of fat at the back of my legs/thigh region that I can't get rid of. I dont really have alot of fat anywhere else and I try to eat a low fat diet and avoid carbs+i run, do squats+lunges, aswell as quite active taekwondo, and have done this for quite awhile, im also lifting free weights to build some more muscle in the chest, shoulder region althoug i dont want to become 'huge'. I've done some reading about how the aromatase enzyme can produce excessive estrogen in males causing the female fat patterns i imagine im experiencing to a degree (dont really have alot of chest/tricep/back fat). I have a relatively wide build in shoulders (good), hips (bad), which i realise is more a product of genetics, but i think burning some of this fat would be good if possible! So a couple questions-Anyone had any experience with aromatase inhibitors such as Yohimburn and AIFM (got these out of 'ezine' from an international bb forum) /or anyone able to shed some light on these products? Are any of these available in New Zealand? Im in Auckland if that helpsThanks!
Cammo
G'day mate.First off, Yohimburn obviously contains Yohimbine which is illegal in products sold in NZ - it's also an external, cream type application which I have touble in taking too seriously. As for AIFM...Ingredients:Base: Propylene glycol, Pure Grain Alcohol, Orange oil, Oleic Acid, Glycerol Actives: ATD (1,4,6 androstatriene-3,17-dione), DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone)I don't think you'll be finding that anywhere in a hurry over here - They don't allow it in Canada. How long have you been lifting weights? jiminycricket70
Both DHEA and ATD are steroid hormones therefore prescription medicines in NZ. Importation would require a prescription from a NZ doctor.

What would you guys suggest? just increase the cardio even more/cut carbs completely if possible?

mariano404
Hi oolaef, I had the same problem you have, genetically my legs are massive. I however think doing squats is worth, not only develops lower body strenght, but it also helps the upper body. I usually do squats, ass to the floor, dont worry loading the bar with many plates, and stick to 15 to 20 reps, with good form. I'm trying to shed some pounds at the mo, cutting carbs completly is IMO a terrible idea, if you have no experience will get into a yo-yo diet. Carbs cycling works better, I eat 3 days of fibrous carbs, about 300 grms of veggies each meal with efa, and 3 days of starchy carbs, taking care of ammount of fat those 3 days, and always good carbs (oat, brown rice).Hope that helps.Hey everyone,Just need some advice- Im 21, male, and around 74kg at 6', so not overweight or underweight (I don't think?), but I have an issue with my build..
