Ronnie steals the show with a great attitude

Well done Ronnie. An average looking Ronnie coleman stole the show with his great attitude and awsome speach. Im happy he was willing to give honour to God as he has always througout his career acknowledged his faith,

Jay on the other hand was not a gracefull winner at all. He talked Victor down and didnt once give any other competitor any credit, just himself oh and of course muscletech :)

Im sorry, but how do you get on a stage and "honour God" when you so blatantly break the rules of the land and take AAS?

god couldnt possibly be against anything like a substance like testosterone or other aas, :pfft: if youd believe that youd believe anything , its no wonder theres so many suckers in this world

Does that make his faith in god any less than you?

Do christians who smoke deserve the same treatment?

I think your statement is opening a big can of worms bro.

smoking v steroids, talk about you're classic apples and oranges!!

i think the point that Mac was making was that you don't honour God by breaking the law.

Romans 13:1,2

Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

2Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.

steroids are against the law therefore using them doesn't honour God.

smoking is not against the law, however i have never come across anyone who would state that smoking, or any benefit of smoking (if any), is honouring to God.

So what the man is thanking god, He believes god has graced him with all the privilages he has today so he's showing his respect. Its for him and god. Sure its contradictory but Christianity's full of contradictions its ridiculous...

I wouldnt quote the bible word from word anyway, I mean f*ck... one word... DINOSAURS!!

and besides what if he crossed the imaginary border from US to Mexico to take Roids, would that be any different morally, I mean he's still on the same land technically.

Shit, its even illegal in Alabama to play dominoes on Sunday, would you feel Ronnie wasnt "Honoring god" if he played dominoes while passing through... Give me a break.

If your Christian and angry at him,......"FORGIVE HIM"

Right so in countries where AAS is legal & you can buy it from pharmacies etc it is ok?

I'm pretty sure Ronnie would be legally prescribed his testosterone so technically he is exempt from this.

whoa mate, ixnay on the ostilityhay!

you're missing the point of the post. no one is angry at him or suggesting that he's not trully thankful, or even judging him, just pointing out that breaking the law doesn't honour God.

also, isn't olympia "supposed" to be clean? we all know it's not clean, but are you supposed to be natural?

No hostility meant, I just roll my eyes at comments like that, its not honoring god as much as playing dominoes on a Sunday is in Alabama :pfft:

The point is Ronnie is in a position where people all over the world look to him as a role model. Yes he uses steriods but he has taken his chance to tell everyone what he believes in. The sport of bodybuilding involves steriods yes, in some countries its not ilegal, does that make bodybuilders using it there any "better" than people in other countries?

Another question. Would the sport of professional bodybuilding be as impressive as it is without aas?

ahh juicing for jesus lol.

who cares, most people who call themselves religious are full of shit anyways.

also big mac, thats good for u, but u will never be the top of your sport without aas.. just stating my opinion and think its pretty close to the truth.

talent and genetcis will only get u so far, especially in olympic events.. wel most of them id say

Haha I knew I opened a can of worms here...

I'm not going to even attempt to say I'm a better person than Ronnie because I don't juice. Getting on a 'holier than thou' highhorse would ultimately be a pharisaical and pointless thing to do. If anyone took my words to mean that, forgive me.

I know that I won't hit the top of my sport (weightlifting) without AAS, that is a given, the same could be said even if my genetics and bone structure were perfect for weightlifting.

All I'm saying is this: Christians (which I'm assuming Ronnie is) are subject to the governing authorities of the world, no matter how corrupt. Schmichael has already alluded to this, please don't use this thread as an attempt to show your disdain for religion. The fact remains that Ronnie has blatantly broken the law in the pursuit of success in his chosen sport. To not play by the rules (yes, I know everyone does it!) then give your thanks and honour to God for this success counts as ridiculous IN MY MIND. That said, his attitude in defeat is gracious and worthy of our respect.

I fear this debate won't die down for a while.

Rezazadeh is natural and he is on top at the moment...

I don't know how you can say that. Most athletes in the olympics get tested and with developing technology, testing will only get cheaper and easier in the future.

Yeah all olympic athletes are natural...........not. You should have said "and with developing technology, cheating will only get cheaper and easier in the future".

Funny how just about every topic gets back to drugs.

Firstly if you are going to be a world class athlete you need Talent, Great Genetics and be strong willed and determined. Perhaps after that you could add in AAS. Not the other way around. I personally know and have helped people in their chosen sports compete successfully at the very highest level. These guys and girls are extremely talented and I know some of you find it hard to comes to terms with but yes they are clean, meaning they don't take AAS's. Whether it be Tri athletes, tennis players, golfers or rugby players first you need to be good at your sport. By the way these guys are all tested regularly as well. Sure in bodybuilding to compete at the Olympia level you would need a boat load of gear but firstly you still need genetics and talent and determination.

110 % agreed...... even gear will only get u so far.................. u could load up all da stuff u need and it aint gonna work...... its not magic (for those who dont know)............ its the power and wat u believe in , the hours of hammered training ............. + genetics and all da others........ i think its just silly associating the mans use of gear and his religion..... just plain old stupid..............

if u wanna actually do sth gud.... go tell da women who are pregnant and smoking to stop deforming their unborn babies...........or better still those who smack the hell out of their children every day and still stand in church every sunday.......

I'm not saying they are, but Rezazadeh is. He passed a drug test a couple of months ago and he is on top - go figure. (although he's injured atm)

Anyway, are you saying there is stuff right now that gets under the radar?

Because at the winter olympics last year 1 in 2 people got tested.
