NZ New! Lol

Hi Guys, I am new, used to compete as an all natural bodybuilder when I was younger, although I did use protein shakes lol. I'm 6ft2 and 130kg now and not built like I used to be,when competing I was 122kg at 7%. Couple years ago some drunk drivers ploughed in to me at 160kph and nearly killed me. Moved to NZ a few years ago and getting back in to the gym and wanting to be a better version of myself but know that I wont be what I was in my early twenties after 8 years of being a clean lifting eating training sleeping repeating machine. At 33 I'm guessing I have my work cut out for me hahaha I visited a jetts. But they don't seem as well set up.been training at home with what I have as best as I can but looking to pay a visit to anytime fitness hopefully they will have some great kit and slightly heavier weights,I'm used to bigger Dumbbells etc. I'm based east Auckland if that helps and would appreciate any feedback on well set up gyms in the area,as well as supplement stores/suppliers you use, being older and wanting to get huge again lol I'm going to supplement a strict diet with protein, may look into test boosters of some kind once I see how my body reacts to hardcore training again and once I have my diet dialled in appropriately. Appreciate any local knowledge and advice ,never too old to learn or start again right? Cheers in advance for any responses

Hi  Fellowshipoftheron thank you for the welcome, yeah those stats were at my best, took quite a few years to get there, can't cry about my former glory lol but will be making the best of what I have left heehee YouTubed a few vids to get me all motivated again, say rich piana' s bigger by the day series, 30pounds of muscle in a short time was his goal so I was curious to see if he made it and he did,he was cycled up on all sorts of stuff though! I adopted the bigger by The day motto hence the name so hoping I challenge myself to do that little bit extra hard work every day

Hi guys yip will be having all my personal effects pic albums and a couple entries coming over when my container arrives.

It took 5 years to get there, was always sporty, rugby clubs etc... so wasn't very chubby.on a large frame which was a bonus for size I guess but was very hard to show gains as such, wasn't what I would call beastly as a lot of my mates and guys in lineups were huge obviously not vegetarians haha couple mates who went that route won their divisions after a years worth of training and most didn't train hard or eat as strictly as me but wanted to prove I could do it on my own steam. I wouldn't of made it on the pro circuit as natural but I was in the gym mornings and evening six days a weak giving it all I had. Competed in a couple shows, tried the fame fitness comp but the natural category was more like an open one lol of the 11 of us I know for a fact 3 were not natural as they were friends of mine and knew how obsessed they were with their cycles.the rest well, huge dudes. Made me look like a stick ha, wasn't long after that when got taken out by a drunk driving 18 year old and ended all of that. Also worked in nutrition muscle science and usn. Lost everything I'd worked for in the gymn post recovering from the accident but I'm all good to go now and back at it.

i had a look now at bodyspace forum to get some pics d/l but my profile infos been cleared prob due to inactivity. Found this though but was 18-20% + fat hardly at my best.

At my best I was virtually dehydrated, weak as anything from carb depleting diets but I persevered like an idiot haha swore I'd never do it again

Hi fellowshipoftheron, nope never cycled anything, I did use muscle science grow extreme protein powder , and used their whey, I also used a product from usn called pure protein which was my night time drink as virtually no carbs,I also had a point where I contemplated doing a cycle but I didn't ,I did however try usn test methox which is an off the shelf product for 4 weeks but was expensive for me at the time and about 5 years of consistent hard work.having said that the first year was more trying to figure out what worked and as a young idiot lol was hesitant to use ask for advice but watched and learned, got mags and read what guys were doing to train what body part etc.. dudes like Arnold,Lou,Bruce Patterson etc although I knew I'd never be a mass monster.then joined bodyspace got heaps of advice from seemingly people who knew what they were on about which helped. Went and had a look at revitalise last night going to the other two today. Progress pics will be done :) give me a bit more time than some of the cycle fellas tho haha. I gave you guys all a follow as the home page says you guys are regulars so look forward to gaining experience, sharing where I can and motivating as well. If you any recommendations on other members to follow that'd be awesome! Oh and where's your pics ? Lol thanks for all the replies guys!

take it easy bro wasn't an accusation, doesn't bother me at all whether you do/did/whatever nor am judging. its not that kind of forum. just thought it was funny how much effort put in to defending natty status when no one even accused you of anything  :P

my pics are in my training log linked in signature, not really worth looking at as you were most likely bigger than i am now at 27 when you were 10.

here is link to members workout journals, check the various ones you. so many ppl with different goals and at different stages of their training career. pretty cool stuff http://www.gymnation.co.nz/forums/forum/30-workout-journals/
