It's the lifting large economy 10mm lever. Got it when I first started lifting so had it for 3/4 years. Solid. Lever has lasted. Where as my mate had a titan that stripped the screws not long after he got it. just need to get one when the nz dollar  is good with the usd

Oh sweet, ill be looking at one to utilise later on, (i have a 2 prong cheapy at the moment just thort id ask after seeing your vid bro. Appreciate that cheers!

Decent session tonight. Have brought my grip in.pinkies on the rings. Arms and pec feel better. Pec still niggly so did not push really super hard. Seem to get more leg drive with a closer grip as I seem to be able to let the bar sink just a tiny bit then send my whole body to drive it up.  Felt pretty good

What? Never heard if that. I'd be finding a new gym. Should be able to use what u want

Well apparently it's to keep big guys out hahaha they also have light stacks and dbs only go up to 40k. So I pin plates to the stacks and the db issue doesn't bother me cos I don't really use them for much and I don't use a belt so I don't care. If I want to do anything that requires a better gym there's another one close by and my mate has a pt studio that's set up for powerlifting. But my normal gym has a no chalk, no weight belt and no noise policy.

230 I wasn't  particularly happy with but it moved ok. I knew I had that I had this in me tonight. It blew off the floor just had to hang in there and hold my form. Was a much smoother attempt than last prep.

Pretty happy with bench. I'm pretty happy with the closer grip. Actually think I'm stronger as I missed 130 last week with wider grip. 130 today felt hard and was bit of a grind. I'm thinking f this will be my third if I'm being conservative. Got to step things up. Nationals tend to bring my best. I went 8/9 last year hoping to continue

Not the best day on the deads.was going to go to 230 but played things safe. Was slow and felt off. Still a weight I can get any day. I got bugger all sleep last night and I upped my water a bit which bloated me out which makes it real hard to get into position with the belt. Hook grip also felt shit right side felt off. Definitely over reached now. Time to deload. Going down Oamaru Saturday  to hit openers and then maybe last warm up Tuesday then that's it

I lift Friday. Have got the week off work, so can sleep heaps and recover. Weight sitting at approx 94 morning weight

Pretty easy, squat i think im going to open 180. todays rep was good, but i wanted it faster. Bench was cake, will open at least 120, maybe 122.5. Deads i went up to last warm up today, not wanting to do anything remotely heavy this close, also just wanted to feel the hook grip out a little bit. Feels better if i use it for most my warm ups too. also i have been jumping from 140-180, i think the 40k jump is too much, ill probably do a single at 160 on the day. warm up for deads ill go 60/80/100/140/160/180/202.5. same with squats ill just stay with what i have been doing, so no surprises.

Mate Oamaru was a happening place when I was down there. 

 

Which gym do you go to there? I went to one on the main strip was upstairs can't remember the name owner was a GC though

Was going to to go to my mate that's competing as well, but my wife went septic and had to entertain daughter down there. Oamaru is quite cool tbh. I quite like the history and buildings there. The Victorian day they have Is a bit different. Gym u would have gone to was 24 hour fitness I think.

Got stuck out of the hole. Not sure what happened. Bit annoyed no lift

Two whites. Was smoother than second. 

Deadlift oh boy

3 whites. Felt like grip was going  easy weight though

Grip went. f*ck hook grip. I tried. Right at top too

Mixed grip three whites. Looked like second. 

Took the super conservative lift here. As I just wanted to secure the total

Ended up with 552.5 and cracked 350 Wilks. Especially happy with bench. The closer grip is good! I notice most the top lads use a similar grip also. Was nutz in 93s. Tim McEwen is almost unbeatable
