How much are you taking? IR or SR?

Taking nothing atm.  Currently prescribed 40mg SR, but being demoted back to 20mg SR as well as 10mg IR ED next thursday.

Asked psychaitrist to switch me to just 40mg IR  ED instead but he said dont be cheeky.

But both sleep and appetite have greatly improved since not taking every day.

Why didn't they think 40mg IR was a good idea? I find it better for sleeping and I get my hunger back faster.

Yeah that was my thought too. Also leaves your system quicker, so your brain can have more time to reuptake the remaining dopamine that it has left and save it for later. All euphoria, no down buzz. SR Ritalin gets you tits up for like 20 mins only then you feel like shit for the next 2 hrs.

I wont argue with them since im lucky to get it even prescribed to me in the first place since I havent been diagnosed with anything that ritalin is approved for treating.

What do you take it for, how much etc?

For add brah. I take it Monday to Friday for work only. i use SR and IR as I need it but try not use more than 40mg a day. Both work well together but my tolerance is high and I don't get the mild euphoric buzz. I don't see any recreational value in it.

Yeah thats quite unfortunate. From what doctor told me about ritalin, people with ADD / ADHD have less natural dopamine, so they constantly try and stimulate themselves by getting distracted, to try and increase dopamine, and Ritalin increases the level of dopamine by blocking its re uptake, so you can have normal dopamine levels while your on it.

But people with already normal dopamine levels can get quite a decent buzz off it, since when we take it our dopamine levels increase well above normal levels.

Sorry to hear about the ADD br0.

@GyzzBrah ADD/ADHD hasn't slowed me down much. For me boring shit is just more boring. ADD is easy to manage with diet, exercise and most importantly DISCIPLINE! Ritalin helps but only if you have the other pieces in place. I did well in school, got a uni degree and worked in corporate environment all without any medication.
