Quite often bad elbows come from tight misaligned shoulders. How are your shoulders?

I've discovered my mobility through my shoulders is totally fucked. Being in a low bar squat position I guess isn't the "safest" and easiest for crappy mobility, all the pain comes from when I squat, along with other tecnical issues I'm sure.

i have started a daily mobility routine for the upper body to hopefully gain some more movement within the elbows,  shoulders, bicep n forams etc. and also am going to widen my squat grip.

in general I've never really had shoulder pain directly.

In my experience the shoulders don't need to be sore for them to cause problems with the elbows. One of my shoulders is quite tight, and has a bit of imbalance due to tight lower back and lats, the tightness causes the biceps to tighten up and tricep tendon issues. Stretching that all out makes it much better but it keeps coming back, so it's a bit of an ongoing issue and it will take a while to iron out fully. The other side's the opposite, it's too loose and the elbow is forever clicking... it will probably get better once the tight side is sorted out I think.

A chiro might be a good idea. Ifbyou fill out the ACC form when you go it's only $30.

Best of luck with it!

Thanks man. If I do it daily I'm hoping to see results. I feel I've made improvement to the mobility in the elbow and the shoulders just a tiny bit already from just a few days, hopefully that transitions into a better functioning "athlete"

Really time poor today and I've had a slight tweak in my lower back that's made life suck.

ended up at the gym 9:30pm when usually on a Wednesday its 6am...so a bit all over the shop today.

anyway just worked up to 180 beltless squat for a double and it felt really good but didn't push it further. Because of the tweak. Also I THINK I'm slowly fixng my elbows as I didn't suffer any pain today in the warm ups etc but to soo to tell

I'll be starting a new journal next week as my training will be a bit different, I've kinda just been cruising after the push/pull, now it's time to build a little bit more volume on the lifts and build dem muscles so I've mapped out a  12 week plan that will carry me through till December
