Today 12.09 minutes, on Thursday 11.21 1st round was 5.11, in the second 4.58. Got a bit of qa shock with the first split

This was just a little bit tough today, not to sure why, may be it was late in the afternoon when I did it.

Notes:

  • Third week of the second cycle with full battle armour, it was a tough day today. Squats were not as crisp and decisive. Put the 44 on the last work set as the 205 in the 46 was a grind. Just put this down to weight loss and not a good weekend for eatin, just felt Flat. Mind you could be the Flu.
    Second squat session was paused, and after what happened earlier I was not looking forward to these considering they were going up to 150kgs. The last may have the best probably because I knew it was the lastdoh1.gif
    Bench was better about the same just lethargic, had the 46 on last week felt good this week tough. Weight loss and not eating right payed its price.
    Kept it on for the Board work, took a couple of sets to get back in the groove, cut the weight down this week, will see how next week goes.
    Average session, completed it but not to what I would expect, but have not had one of these days for a while, so will just put down to a tough day in the office.

just goes to show you really gotta groove ya battle armaments!!.. was it Hit and miss with battle armor because of the dif size suits OB or a combination of the weight/loss/flu etc?

Na Bro, not hit a miss, more the remanents of the Sheiko Flu and not much eats on the Sunday. Was running a bit over the weight for the weigh in on Monday, so did not eat very much on sunday for the weigh in day. Not doing that again will have the weight right on Thursday Friday so that on Sunday I can eat well, for Mondays training.

Notes:

  • The Bench was good, trying the tuck, which seems to be working, not fast but working.
    Rammstein, was a bit sluggish till the last two sets. Speed was good just remanents of Mondays training I think.
    Deads were good, belted on the last raw sets, these seem to be improving, hands were fine today. Pain receptors must have had a day off
    Suited deads were tidy, just the last work set did not approach iot properly, so it took a while to complete.

  • Notes:
    A solid Squat day today, weight felt good 10kgs up on last week. 1st set was a bit was a bit over the place but settled in after that.
    Bench was feeling better today, pin press went well too there is hope.
    Weekly Analysis:
    Squats:
    Squats were tough on Monday due to a couple of other factors, put the 44 on for the second set felt better. Have skills next week so looking at dialling in the 44. Raw work and paused have been good, strength is picking up even while losing weight.
    Bench:
    Raw strength has improved slightly, still early days, made adjustments to the working sets. The shirt work still needs looking at, in the 46 will see on Skills on where I am at here. I think the weight loss has had a impact on strength levels as well as the injury. Always got to be in twos.wallbash.gif
    Rammer speed is good, took a little while the other day, and did 5 sets at 110 all paused. Not so much in triceps this week.
    Deads:
    Suit work this week, felt good, will test the Velocity on Skills day, still using my old suit. Was going to do the rack pulls at a lower pin but this or next week.
    Hands have come right, in the last two weeks, not so sore, no need for tape, come at the right time.

Notes:

  • Squats:
    Put my loose suit on, warms ups went well so did the work sets. Put the wraps on as I got into my top sets and my 44 Centurion 205 felt rough but not to bad, video looked ok. Took 215 that was a lot better, last cycle Skills stopped at 220, then put 225 on rushed this one was not happy with it in that sense but a good lift. Again some good positives from today's session and the subtle changes in technique.
    Bench:
    Been having so much trouble with this the niggling injury weight loss etc so was not looking at big things. Put my so called tight 46 not even. I reckon hi 120s would have touched. Might pull out my 44 have not used it for a couple of yeras since 2009 Master Bench Worlds
    Deads:
    I was thinking about how this would go, as some weeks have been up and down. Have not had my Velocity on since the Nationals last year, put it on at 175kgs straps down up to 200. 215 popped up gave me a surprise, I had 227.5 as my last but thought that 215 may have been a struggle. 227.5 came up good felt slow but that is the most I have pulled since the CDs 2010. I have not gone past 220kgs for the last 3 comps.
    Strength was a vast improvement from the last Skills Evaluation so very happy how this cycle has gone. Technique has improved still a few things to work on will do a couple more attempts next week on the Shirt just to iron out some of yesterday's efforts. Lock away the Squat and Deadlift Suit.
    Weight was 99.98kgsclap.gif I will stay at this weight right to the Nationals, usually I am around 3-4kgs heavier, and have done my skills at that weight but have competed a lot lighter. Not this year as it is my last year as a Master II veryold.gif
    One the best Skills except for the Bench bench.gif, I put it down to the Cro-Magnon having a good effect and of course I am am getting just a little bit stronger.
    Some good positives from today's effort and a lot to work on.

Notes:

Looked tough on paper after the test on Wednesday but it turned out better than I thought.

Bench was feeling a bit better today, pin press went well too there is hope.

Weekly Analysis:

Squats:

Squats went well on the Skills, probably 217.5-220 for my opener. 225 went pretty well, but I just rushed it not a s smooth as I would have wanted.

Bench:

In the Shirt was not overly exciting, will re dial in over the next two weeks, Raw strength has improved slightly.

Deads:

This went pretty well at skills used the Velocity for the first time since last years Nationals.

A pretty good Skills one of the best I have had.

Yeah Big Guy, I was surprised at how they came up, I had penciled in 215 and if that went well the 227 was next so pretty happy.

Today 11.33 minutes, the last session Sunday 3/07/2011 was 12.09 1st round was 4.51, in the second 4.42. Got a bit of a shock with the first split, considering I have not done this for 2 weekspimp.gif

Will carry this on through to the Nationals pleased with how it helped my Skills.

Added in the Agiles started with 5 will work up to eight.

Thanks Steak, Skills went well except for the miserible Bench.

When the setup is right it is effortless, but when it is not, just goes to pieces, just more practice for all of us.

  • Fourth week of the second cycle with full battle armour, Squats were strong today even with the Loose Loose suit. I think a week or so back I had to change to the 44 things were tough that day. Strength was good last set did my usual well not so usual just rushed it did not setup properly. But completed the set so that was a bonus.
    Second squat session was not paused, I was getting to like these, but after all the work last week, you would think there was some respite, no 160s x sets.
    Bench was better so so, I tried on my 44 Fury have not worn this since the 2009 Masters, even though I have lost weight there is a bit of size going on, it was on the tight side. I only went to a 1 board, I have my 46 which is good for the opener, If I can get a clean touch with the 44 in the next few bench sessions then I may use it at the Nationals.
    Kept it on for the Board work, took a couple of sets to get back in the groove, got a bit tired on the last set.
    Pretty good session today about 3 hours no wonder the last set of squats were tough.
