OB, dunno if iv mentioned already, but keen an eye on your teeth on prednisone and hit doctor up if you start having problems, my dad ignored teeth symptoms on prednisone and 2 years in they were brittle like chalk and he had to get whole lot replaced with implants

  • Well the first day back since the plaster was put on, and at least 6 weeks since I last trained.
     
  • Squats: did Safety Squat Bar only can load 10kg plates 20s are to tough to hold. Will alternate between these and GCBs
     
  • Bench: Machine Press something new still when the weight gets up the wrist gets sore. This will be the exercise of choice but not strength.
     
  • Deadlift: Belt Squat Machine Sumo's this will keep somewhere in the zone for Sumo, just trying to replicate the form needed seems ok.
     
  • Well day 214 is done looking forward to 215 and onwards

  • Squats: Squats again in the Mono with the olympic bar, had the whole hand around the bar for the last set.
     
  • Bench: Again holding the bar in the widest position (IPF Legal) went to 35kgs today. 
     
  • Pull: Sumo Pulls strapped and wrapped, went to 90kgs same as Conventional day but did 2 top sets.

Health Update the final Chapter: After 21 months of monthly blood tests, the nasty Prendisone cycle and its numerous side effects (14kg weight gain). Had my blood test on Wednesday after 3.5 weeks off the Preds, this was to see if I would relapse. If that happened (30% chance) then it was back to another 10 odd months of Prendisone. While on the final stages my C-Reactive Protein was stable at 3 mg/L it came back at 4 mg/L with recommended RR: 0-5 mg/L. Will do another test next month as my training increases to just keep an eye on it. Just the wrist now, fracture has healed but the ligaments are still pretty munted. But on a bright note I managed to Bench 35kgs Deadlift 90kgs both strapped and wrapped without too much pain and can Squat with just about the whole hand gripping the bar (3 fingers). Looking into the crystal ball first comp maybe Feb Mar ready for Waikato/BOP Regional Champs in April.
