Cheers Brother, seeing you at the BBro then a week later you will not miss my handlers Tonka and PT about 300kgs between them

good plan bro...have you not done 29 before?

Na Steak, I have not done any of the numbered cycles, Coach Dave has done all my programmes I was part of his trial crew on the Reduced Volume before it was put out on BMF. So just doing this as a keep in touch, I usually do one of his maintenance programmes which do not seem like maintenance at all more like full blown cycles,

WBOP novice comp mate????whens that

Is coach doing your next one? Im thinking I might try and get in touch and see if he has any ideas re my stubborn bench (stubborn was being polite too) but Im happy enough with the rest of the plan. Also wanting to introduce the gear so thinking reduced vol raw/equipped again.

Day 2 of the Week 1, Deads to the knees were getting a bit iffy just at the start and the lowering a little hip twinge more like a cartilage rubbing. So stopped at my work sets no need to push at the moment, the rack pull I thought they might be the same , but no it must just be in the start position.

Yeah he is, what is happening do you think in your training. Bench just takes a while, it is one of those things where time will pass and nothing happens then bang it comes together.

Reduced volume is good the young can do the normal volume cycles but some of us me in particular go better on reduced volume but higher intensity.

what is happening/not happening....long story short...I dropped from 145kg bench BB styles to 135kg PL set up and have got bogged there. I have had Tonka oversee my set up/form and we both agree its good but Im not seeing the gains from the past 16 weeks. Initially I thought i was just a bit worn out from the HV back to back being in the masters classes lol but even now on RV Im still seem to not make any head way.

I have progressed to a fury 52 and although this a different animal altogether I dont think the short time i have spent in it has done any harm or detracted from the main goal of a good raw lift and i have only added it where it says in the programme. To futher cloud the end goal I am now lifting (raw) at max grip (in comp) and mixed grips in training. I did have the thought that pulling the grip in for raw would help and I have tried this too but with no benefit...so far - work in progress I guess as its only been 4 weeks doing this. Would like to get it sorted or have a decent plan for this lift for the next cycle in a few weeks. Im not happy to settle withe the bench press being the rest between squats and deads  The total is the important number and must come up

Your technique has changed heaps and for the better, previously you bum was off the bench in the early vids. PL style is a lot harder as there are no movements allowed, foot movement, bum lifting, pausing takes off up to 10kgs from ones total. The max grip in comp probably does not work as well for raw as it would for shirted lifting, finding you strongest raw grip would be better in a comp and training at that grip. If you are going to use a shirt a lot more then POR or ring finger would be good for the raw work and max width with shirt for the comps.

Bench Press is the most technical of all the lifts there is so much going on that sometimes you need to just work on one or two things at a time, get those right and move to the next one.

Where are you missing in the lift is it off the chest or further up?
