thanks mate.

when will you do a 3 lift with me? theres one here in september i think ?

2017 I think I will GPC Callander. September could work man. Push/pull august 14 is primary goal at the moment, the rest of the year after that is uncertain. Are you talking the "winter classic" or "melb cup" I'll have a look.

i have a cold and not feeling too flash but dont wanna deadlift tomorrow or saturday because squats are big on monday, so decided il get my deadlifts done today, and do assistance on saturday. so today was just deadlift, will do front squat, rdl, ghr on saturday. bit of a trade off between not training at all today or pushing the whole day back to saturday, neither were great options.

deadlift

70 x 8

120 x 5

170 x 3

200kg 2x3

220kg 2x4

210kg 2x4

220kg x 4 is a rep pb

originally was gonna try 220 4x4 but didnt have it in me today, second set @ 220 was rough so rather not grind out more ugly sets, dropped back to 210.

heres set 1 220kg. hips not as low as i want them to be and was a bit rusty, put it down to being sick and tired etc and do better next week.

100 x  5

120 x 1

130 x 1

140 x 1 10kg pb

90kg x 5

105kg 5x5

all felt very strong, dunno why considering so sick and not getting much sleep as nose blocked and up coughing all night.

assist pullup

3x8

ohp

65kg 3x6

skullcrusher

40kg 3x6

heres the 140

Well it doesn't really matter what you look like as much as it matters how you lift. So I was really just asking cos was wondering where you're at in relation to that. It's a process for sure. At 120 do you just keeping chugging away until your lifts are good for your bw or drop down in bw to be competitive with your current lifts.

ah ok sweet man well although lifts do come first, i do want to be in a bit better shape after this comp going forward.

id be happy to stay around this weight and lean up slowly, or drop a bit of weight, not that fussed either way, but very over this dreamer bulk kind of life i've lead for the last year

Most powerlifters are way too heavy. Just have to look at gpc nz. Numerous lifters in weight classes too big for them in relation to how much muscle mass they have. Some people competing in u110 class who should really be u90 lifters. Just my opinion. I would never go into u125kg class. Higher weight classes are sometimes easier though. At gpc worlds last year I think the 2 biggest totals in the comp were in the u110 class.

130kg x 3 is a big pb, this is my 1rm when i started this program and at the time was much harder than the triple today. i mis grooved the 3rd rep and touched too low. i think if i nail it could do 4 or maybe even 5. first 2 were easy. heres the video.
