Are you loosing a little control of the bar while lowering onto the chest due to having cooked biceps?

on a bad day maybe but im opting to lower slower and get a controlled touch and lose a bit of speed rather than lose tightness and drop it on myself then try muscle it up

What class are you lifting in?

Under 125s. Floated the idea of water loading weigh in to be 125.1 (under 140s) to escape hamishs class lol but realistically this year I'm not going to be competitive anyway so not gonna do a weight cut or anything like that.

Prioriity is biggest total on the day I can possibly do. Morning weight is around 119 at the moment

Why would having fucked biceps cause this?

Pain/influmation around the joint

with squat bicep pain, lowering bench can get bit sore, so instinct is to drop it (no pain) rather than control it, just gotta go slow rather than dropping it.

mine isnt as bad as a lot of people anyway so im not that stressed, usually its just bad the day after heavy heavy squats.

Is that like the elbow pain thing everyone seems to get from squatting? If so I've had it and had same thing of basically having to be dropping bar onto chest rather than lowering it, but didn't know it was a bicep issue.

yup, elbow/bicep type thing dunno people complain of it in different spots

Fancy name for voltaren tabs

Yeah voltaren are OTC brand and fast acting and a lower dose. They not as good as the generic prescription diclofenac which higher dosage and slower acting/longer lasting.

Just wondering if he got that or something better. I'm not sure what else there is. But I'm keen to try if his doc gave something else.

Trained in monolift. Did squat opener and second. 245 and 260. Both were fine. Had crook stomach for a couple days which made it harder than it needed to be and just felt crap.  Monolift tricky to get feet right etc, apart from that was good. Do openers and second for bench and deadlift tomorrow which will go good too then it's just a few light days till competition

ill post video of squat  when at a computer

No but that's fine I'll be sweet. Just something new once I'm good at it it'll be easier than walking out

Yea technicly should make for a bigger squat. Def a disadvantage not training with the equipment you compete with.

So in the rule book it says "no walk outs"? I'll have to look into that

Not sure what rule book says. At gpc worlds last year you could walk out from the mono lift. In gpc nz you can't. maybe the rules got updated. There are a few different rules from country to country I have come to notice. Don't really understand that myself but oh well.

Yea bro, well GPC rulebook says that, not sure about CAPO or IPL though.

It's more a safety thing, as if you walk it out and are standing back while the straps are hanging do , so if you dump it it creates a pendulum and makes it rather unsafe for you and the spotters having 100s kg swinging around.

I know the aussie GPC novice comp I spot/loaded at they allowed walk outs. But novice/legit different ball game.
