gutted bro!

i was watching a interview with ed coan where he talks about squatting 350 or something and shat himself on the first rep and decided he didnt want to have to redo the set so he continued and got 5 reps out, the shit went up his back etc.

if you had that kind of sickness you could push through, but because its vomit that might cause breathing issues

haha jokes bro, dont stress, heaps of competitions, sooner or later youll be able to do one

That really sucks - you'd sunk a lot of effort into it, your prep looked solid. Come along for a watch, it'll be a good day.

Wanted to mate but I'd spend more time in bathroom than watching lifts. Just gotta suck it up and prep for something else now. Not sure where there is something I can compete at though.

Would you consider a day trip to do the GPC BoP Three Lift in a couple weeks ?

Otherwise I dunno if there would be many other three lifts in the second half of the year in any of the Feds. Mostly Push/Pulls or Bench Only.

There is a Three Lift start of December down here in Christchurch run through Nzpf and Cpa that I'm pretty sure you could have a go as a novice at.

If you wanted to make the trip down here I'd be happy to come help you out on the day etc

the CDPA and Powerhouse run the Powerhouse Open, also known as the BledisBro, in November. It's open to novices and experienced lifters alike, and is a great comp, great atmosphere in an awesome venue. Mid November, not sure of th exact date yet.

Oh bugger! :(

Shit, that sucks, mate. And wtf are the black rubbery things?

Oh well - rest up, get better, and then push on to the next one. You'll be even stronger by then anyway.

I dunno lol . The Dr didn't even seem to care. Yep training starts today , new routine? New goals Hungrier than ever.

Probably to busy at work to make the one in two weeks especially after just having Thurs and Fri off sick. The one in December could be a plan mate I could take the family for a holiday at the same time. Thanks for the offer that's awesome

This could also be a goal. Hope the comp went well.

No worries bro, just pay me back by hitting some heavy as PBs, then I'll be happy haha

Just checked Cpa calendar for this year. It's the 21st of November sorry bro, not December, I assumed December cos that's when it has been other years.

That's the weekend after ProRaw so I'll still be here in Chch to help if you do decide to come down for it.

Should be a bit warmer by then too lol, so could actually be a good time away for the family !

Back into training.

Squats 175kg x 5 sets of 5 .

Deads 182.5kg x 6 sets of 3

Bench 105kg x 4 sets of 8

Was a bit of a wake up call in the squats after doing stuff all the last week and losing weight but managed to push through. Deadlifts were slower than they should have been to and probably to heavy for speed reps so may change it up to 3 x 6 reps as a more hypertrophy type . Bench was fine and using the flat feet 105kg was little trouble.

Bench day today . Back to the basic weights again.

Flat bar bench 120kg x 5 sets of 5 . Did like 3 sec pauses or something to make it harder but sure it was under tension not resting dead on my chest.

Assistance 1    50kg incline dumbell press  x 10 x 10 x 7        1.5mins rest between.

Did some light pullups and a pec stretch to get the stretch going . Had to go to work but will do some lighter stuff tonight for the upper back.  Training and eating with a purpose and back up to 83 .1 kg so im an absolute beast lol.

calf raises 200kg x 10 x 10 x 10

Awesome day in the gym today . Even 5 hours driving and tight hips and glutes didn't phase me.

DEADLIFTS 207.5 kg x 5 sets of 5. First set I did beltless and these felt great. Separating my 2 days of squat and deads apart by an another day seems to have done the trick.

SQUATS 155kg x 3 sets of 8 lowbar. Again another great feeling . Stayed in my chucks found my spot on back , squeezed those shoulder blades together and went balls to wall. Definitely a new feeling but the squat itself is so much smoother whether it was the flat shoes or the low bar I don't know.

Stiff legged deadlifts 30kg dbs x 3 sets of 12 really getting a stretch in and laying leg curls to finish x 20 x 15.

Had 3 muffin splits 1 hour before training and 100grams karbolyn intra training then got home home to a mass bowl of chicken and rice. Carb city .

Copying Realtalk pretty much lol i thought id use my assistance band . Did some regular bench then singles at 150kg and 160kg followed by 3 sets of 4 at 150kg. Pretty much gives exactly 10kg of assistance . Then i did 3 sets of 10 neutral grip pullups full rom big stretch at the bottom of each rep. Then after that i copied Beastbuilder and tried to do the max reps with the 20kg bar arm curl. Failed big time on 80 reps. To my credit i dont normally train arms and had just done pullups.  So yeah pretty much stealing everybody elses ideas to benefit myself . Also wearing my Gymnation shirt for extra strength.

Yesterday was my main squat day. 2 sessions.

High bar 5 x 5 at 177.5 kg first 2 sets beltless. I couldn't believe how easy these felt . A lot easier than ever before and I don't know why.

Bench 107.5 kg x 4 sets of 8. Again I flew through these.

Defecit deads off a 2 inch block. 6 sets of 3 at 185kg. Used straps and went double overhand. Hands were so sweaty and bar at gym has no knurling at all.

Chest supported rows. Sets of 7-10 between 35 and 50kg strictly keeping chest on pad and using only lats to pull . I see so many guys swing their backs into it to get more momentum but they're only cheating themselves out of good gains.

Night session at home

Safety bar squats. I jumped up to 155kg from the planned 137.5 kg because it was just to easy. Started to low with these last week. Did 5 sets of 5. Was going to do a couple of sets of zercher or front squats in the Getstrength Harness thing I've had for ages and never used but didn't want to get to silly. Tried doing those handstand pushups against a wall. What a dumb shit thing to do as while the excercise was easy I sprained the top of my hand. I think not use to being stretched back flat like that. Did 20, 15, 15. Probably would be ok excercise on your fists of a couple of blocks to increase rom. I'm going to stick to powerlifting type training from now on.
