That's an excellent attitude, 2guns - i.e. wanting to pit yourself against other good competitors!

Good luck for Saturday - I'll be there helping out at the Friday night registration and on the day of the event, so I'll keep an eye out for you and introduce myself.

i can enter friday nite right?

how much is registration fee? and entry fee mastertell? i havnt seen a poster anywhere... and do i need to bring my trunks? for wateva reason

Friday night registration is at the Quality Inn Hotel, 465 Great North Rd, New Lynn, from 6 - 7:30pm. Or you can register on Saturday morning at the venue (Auckland Girls Grammar) from 8am - 9am. I'm fairly sure the registration fee is $15, plus another $45 (12 month subscription) to join the NZFBB if you are not already a current member.

Yes, 2guns, bring your trunks to registration - you don't need to wear them to weigh-in as a Junior competitor, but the judges will need to check that they are suitable. Also, as you are in an age-restricted class, make sure you bring some proof of age e.g. passport or drivers licence.

wat is unsuitable? do they have to be black etc?

No, they don't need to be black, although most guys do wear black. As long as it is one colour and not too shiny. Hey - my Mixed Pairs partner made me wear pink trunks at Nationals in 2005, but she made them for me, plus we won, so I couldn't complain! :D

Sorry, no G-strings (or G-ropes if you've got a large behind! :pfft: ) Is this your first comp, 2guns? - I go the impression you had competed before? Perhaps find someone who has a spare pair of trunks and bring these as well if you think your trunks might not be suitable.

Also, check out pics on this and other sites like nzfbb, nabba and gofigure to see what other guys wear to give you an idea.

Well done to all who competed - some real talent!

Here's a slightly off topic question, but still on the subject of Auckland NZFBB .. why during the brake, did the audience have to leave the venue, completely empty the theatre? Is it a heating issue? what? Thank goodness it wasn't raining.

Sorry to ask such a strange question - prob not the place, but it bugged me.
