Whats the difference between a clean cheat meal and  a dirty cheat meal?

One is healthy the other is not.

rice pudding not healthy unless u make a shit Paleo one... Which is impossible lol. Just cause has rice it it doesn't mean it's clean/healthy that's like saying KFC is healthy cause it's chicken.

bro ur in off season why the hell are you dieting? Having cheat meals on weekend that's what you were doing for ur show anyway.

u wanna eat high protein, moderate carbs and moderate fats sonething like that in off season and add ur sauces to whatever foods u want. Then have a pudding every night after dinner... This dieting for the week then have 3 scheduled cheat meals on weekend is gonna Break you like u broke a week out from your comp. You want to be satisfied all the time. Why be excited for cheat meal on weekend when u are off season if it's tuesday night and u want cheat meal then for God sakes have one. 12 weeks before a Comp is where u deprive yourself.

u need to add some muscle u need to eat more and train properly. And U are training properly now which is good I'm glad to hear that. U bike all round town and walk everywhere u need food good or bad doesn't exavtly matter at this time of year in relation to comp. I dnt think u eat enough calories.

eat more. And eat pudding every night. These rolled oat muffins and this rice pudding eat it every day after u eaten ur lunch

Unfortunately it is not as simple as you would think, Gymrats nutritional knowledge is substantially lacking and first of all he has to learn what good food is, hence his concept of clean and dirty cheat meals.

I am working with him to learn good nutritional choices, he has in the past not eaten enough protein and eats far too many simple carbohydrates.

It would be better if he does not have to lose as many kilos to compete as he has in past years this does make it hard and a long diet which he does not enjoy. Left to make choices as he has in the past would see him gain substantial weight that will be hard to remove. I observed his eating habits while he was in Auckland and like so many body builders after a competition he completely losses it and rapid weight gain will follow.

So getting him to include more protein and limit simple carbohydrates while including more foods like Kumara is a good start.

oh come on Bibby! you Needa get on Google and do some bloody reading or better yet there is a tool on this website that tells you all you need to know. Even start a thread and ask questions.

what do you eat bro? If you are unsure of foods just ask that's what forum is for. Knowledge is power bibby of you want to succeed and unleash the beast then you have to know what your doing... By asking questions you will gain knowledge and then you can use that to put towards building your body for 2015 nats

Had good session this morning took a hour and five minutes to train arms since I am resting for 90seconds in between sets while i am training during off season. Not feeling has tired after my sessions compare to early in the week while I was recovering from nationals. Speaking of nationals found out on go figure when I got home from work. They will be held in Christchurch , thought that is good for me won't to travel all that far since Christchurch is just a short plane trip from Dunedin . Thought that was quick fast and at this time last week I was at weigh in. Probley will have to come up to Auckland after nationals.

maybe you should do the pans afterall and just compete in 7 weeks out condition then come in lean for wellys and also nats? good way to get more shows under your belt

I am going to stick with my original plan which I am happy with. Don't want to have a diet melt down again.

If you are going to the cricket in Welly in February does that mean you're not going too the 7s in 2015?

Does that mean you are going to the Auckland 9s instead?

I will be going to the cricket in Welly plus I have retired from going to the sevens might go the Auckland nines one day. Looks epic and cool from the photos that I have seen

Me being a ectomorph who also has very fast metolisume and from the diffrent various articles that I have read online about ectomorphs. I know already that I need lots of complex carbs like Oats, brown rice, whole meal bread and other good complex carbs as well including my protein sources like eggs,,milk, yoghurt, tuna, chicken, tuna, red meat etc, and my fats like flax seed, peanut butter etc.Made rice pudding when I got home from work yesterday from a easy recipe that got off a cooking website can't recall the name of it.  3/4 cup of brown rice.three cups of skim milk,1/3 of sugar, one tea spoon of vanilla essence put mix in all ingredients into rice cooker and stir every 20 minutes until cooked. Put into a bowl and let it cool in the fridge for a hour. Raisins and cinnamon can be added as well. Thinking of doing three shows in the new year which are top of the south in Nelson that's if I can get a cheap plane ticket from Dunedin to Nelson, wellington and Christchurch as well. Figured it would be a good way to build up my fan base in those three city's.

yeah good on you for studying up gymrat, that metabolism of yours gonna need them extra carbs with all this biking around you do (if you still doing that, assuming you didn't start taking limos to work after your recently new found fame in auckland) - though i suspect rebel is already starting to account for all this activity and helping you count your macros ?

Another way to increase your fanbase would be to start an athlete page on facebook along with instagram and you could even link it to your twitter and youtu e channel. This could also help you getting more sponsors

Great idea!!!

Yeah gymrat, I fully support that Idea. A facebook page would be a great Idea for everyone to see your progress, potential sponsors etc.

For example, If you post a picture of you drinking MP Assault while flexing, Muscle Pharm might see this and give you a 10, 000$ sponsorship!

Nah bro, sponsorships are all about letting the company know that you have your name out there, so you can represent their products to a mass audience (not gymnation).

So by making a facebook page first, putting up heaps of pics, catchy name, asking all your co workers to go like the page, then lots of ppl from new zealand will start liking your page, pretty soon lots of people from the whole world will, and you will be contacted by lots of companies who will give you fame and money.

It's all about getting your name out there with a facebook page bro. Imagine the fanbase you could aquire if you got 100000 fans!
