Quads today

BB squats 2x15 bar,60kg,4x12 70kg,80kg,90kg,100kg

Leg press 4x12 5pps,6pps,7pps,7pps

Walking lunges 4x12 12kg's,15kg's,17kg's,20kg's

Leg extensions 4x8-12 63kg,73kg,83kg,101kg

Today was my first quad train in week and half was going to have a light session thought no since I am training towards the Wellington show in september .I best to go hard instead.I was using good full range of moation and going to deep in my squats which will lead to better muscle growth in my quads and help me work towards my goal of buring more fat in my quads.Which is one of my main goals that I have during off seasion.When I got to the last set for walking lunges was thinking do body weight walking lunges or use the 20's.Thought will use the 20's instead.By the time I got to leg extensions my quads were pumped manged eight good reps on the last set for leg extenstions .Walked funny to the staff to get my protein shake and banana  for my post training.I am not cramping up as much compare to Monday which is good.Unlike compare to Monday when I was hear home I cramped up badly plus it was painful when walking down my street with my bike.Was thinking at the time I need a walking stick badly and even siting down was painful as well since my leg were cramped

Looks like you will be finally needing a zimmer frame there buddy, maybe you should text your co workers about that and see what they think. If your lucky they could throw together a staff party to celebrate your victory at the nats (1st ever in world fitness) and they could get you a zimmer frame as a present.

Also, I think that now that you have upped your game and are being coached by reble, wouldn't it be a great Idea to update your signature to say that you are being coached by rebele so that everybody here can know that you have stepped your game up for wellington, and are being coached by rebele?

That's a good idea bro and I can have a cheat meal three times during the weekend. Leaning towards the hunger buster for lunch on Saturday ,fish n chips with a burger and third and last cheat meal for the weekend not sure yet

How many cheat meals can you have on the weekend?

would you class cheat meals as off season foods?

 

I can have three cheat meals during the weekend as for any food that I would class as a cheat meal basically anything from mcdonlds,Burger King ,fish n chips,pies etc. A few members at world have been asking me how I went on Saturday which good and much better compare to last year when I was at les mills got asked why you didn't do the Dunedin show first few times was fine but after while it bored the hell out of me.

Yeah br0, good on you for not skipping out on the nats, otherwise everyone at world fitness would have been telling you about it for a month, which would be fine, but it might have bored the hell out of you.

I didn't think of that today and very true bro yes that would bored the hell out of me

First reason is jim Pitt should retire second reason there should be some fresh blood like a new present for nabba

Gyzzbrah there are 2 different Federations that are quite different but named similarly

NABBA WFF

and

NABBA

The two are not to be mixed up

Gymrat just competed NABBA WFF where there were 70 competitors

The NABBA Nationals are on next weekend in Palmerston North with 150+ competitors.

Shoulders and calfs today

Shoulder press 2x15 22kg,24kg 4x12 30kg,36kg,40kg,45kg

db shoulder press 4x12  20kg's,20kg's,22kg's,22kg's

db lateral raise 5x12 10kg's for the five working sets

db bent over laterals 4x12 7kg's for the four working sets 

standing calf raise 1x20 54kg, 5x20 100'106,112,118,124 in kg's 

calf press 5x20 5pps for the five working sets

Starting to get my strength back solely after nationals on Saturday. The session was good took a hour to train shoulders and calfs. Had to go up town to get my plane ticket for when I go to wellys for the cricket in February and got a good price for it as well for only 258 return. After I got my plane ticket I thought two trips to wellys to look forward to in the new year one for the cricket and later on in 2015 the wellington show in September . Will be able to find out the date for it. When the list of shows for nabba/wff come out next month . Just to make things for you guys nabba/wff is one show format which I like plus it makes the show run quicker and faster and for nabba has pre judging plus the night show . Was thinking today when i go to wellys for the cricket in February i figured it would be a good to slowly build up my fan base in wellys for when i go back up there for the show in September .

Damien, well done for over coming those mind games you had going on and moving on from that diet meltdown. Shows u have heart to keep going when things aren't going your way. You did it!

Ok so you placed 3/3, but you beat everyone eligible for your class who didn't compete at the nationals. You know Damien, unlike alot of sports bodybuilding is a lot like powerlifting and most weight lifting related sports/competitions in that whilst you are competing against others you are also competing against yourself. Its a long slow journey but a rewarding one which quite often the progress you make is only minuscule in comparison to the work and effort it takes to get there. I believe as long as you are working hard and improving from comp to comp then this is all you can do and what other people are doing is out of your control. So for yourself I wouldn't worry about where you place just as long as you are improving then you are winning.

i already see you have this mentality because you are proud of coming 3rd and proud of the fact that you just got up there and competed. That is one trait you have that I admire and I could do with being more like that from time to time.

Thanks bro or in other words the rat beat everyone who wanted to compete in my class at nationals. From the two comps that I did this year . I notice a big improvement from last year by carbing up one day out from both shows and dropping water for the first time for both which was a good learning experince for me. I was taking more supplements this time around unlike compare to last year when I was taking whey,fish oils,multis and flax seed. From this year I did not get lost on stage since I kept my routine to a minute not the minute and half what did last year which made me feel lost on stage. Not to sure if I have mention this or not competing at nationals for the first time and being on stage at national level was very cool and awesome as well. Coming away with three trophys in my second year of competing is a massive achievement plus it is a good way to build for future shows that i do.

For my three cheat meals that I can have during the weekend during off season came up with better option . Which is i am going to have one dirty cheat meal and the other two will be clean cheat meals . Going to have a go at making rice pudding for the first time during the weekend after  I have been watching some videos on YouTube how to make rice pudding  and the other clean cheat meal will be banana rolled oat muffins .
