This morning when I got up it feels very nice to be classed as national bodybuilder which I am very proud to be one.Today I am going eat anything that I want plus I dont care what the macros are for the food that I am going to eat.So far in the way of food I have already had a packet of gummie bears.Mcdonlds hunger buster for breakfast which was two pancakes topped with maple syrup, hot cake, hashbrown, hot chochlate, blueberry and chochlatechip muffan and for morning tea will be having a blueberry muffan with a moro bar. Will had more food to my journal as the day gose on.Thnaks guys for your messages and I could hear a few of you guys yesterday yelling out gym rat baby when I came on stage.Started drinking more water today after having not much water in the past 48 hours which would include Friday when I droped water and yesterday only 1.5 L of water.Wonder what my weight is 24 hours after the show. might have to weigh myself and find out

That's my trainer ! good shit ratzilla, how does it feel to have the 3rd best body in NZ out of anyone who weights 82 kg?

It feels awesome to have the third best body in nz out of any one who weighs 82 kg . I have come close a few times by crying since I feel very happy about doing well at Nats . I also though the lighting was average when I was watching  before I went on and the same for when I was done competing.

Good one Gymrat. I'm glad you made it to the finish! Biggrin

Congrats bro. Third place is a pretty big achievement and you should be proud.

Why the f*ck would you cry? You came last in your class again. If you hadnt have even trained or dieted at all and then competed in pans and nats youd have same result. In saying that at least you gave it a go and didnt bitch out.

Anyway re. competing next year, are you actually gonna train properly with full ROM or are you gonna be spastic c*nt again doing not even quarter reps? No pro does reps like yours. Not going down all the way on bench when you training chest is just stupid as you arent even hitting chest and you're doing the lockout bit of excercise still, which is the whole point/excuse of not doing full ROM.

Chest and hamstrings

bb bench press 1x15 60kg,5x8-12 70kg,75kg,78kg,80kg,85kg

db incline press 4x8-12 25kg's, 27kg's,30kg's,32kg's

flat bench flys 4x8-12  15kg's,17kg's,20kg's,22kg's

stiff legged deadlifts 1x15 40kg, 5x12 60kg,70kg,75kg,78kg,80kg,85kg

seated leg curls 4x12 32kg,39kg,45kg,48kg

Today was my first session back in the gym after nationals. Had to stop a few times since my legs were cramping up on me. Figured that would be normal after one has done a show plus it would be my first time experince that. Didn't experince cramping up after I did the pans in 2013 or the pans this past august . My co workers were asking me how I went on Saturday told them I got third in my class which is good going given it was my first time competing at that level. When I arrived at work came up with new phrase which I will be adding to what I have got already which is world fitness the home of a national bodybuilder Ratzilla  I notice that my carb up this time around for nationals was better which a lots of good clean foods unlike compare to when I was carbing for the pans and the trainer that I when I was at snap got me to have foods that are high in sodium like sushi and subway . Out of three shows that I have done so far the carb up plan that I had for Nats would be the best one to date since it had lots of good clean foods and not foods that have a high sodium content to them.

congrats man i bet a lot of people are pretty annoyed right now that they didn't bother competing and here you are coming out with the trophy even if it's third that's still a trophy, you are now a national level bodybuilder.  you still got your ass off the chair, trained and dieted for it and had the guts to follow through all the way, very cool acheivement. you just proved you got guts and you got the glory now too.

go hard with your offseason and looking forward to seeing more of you in auckland with your new found fanbase here.

Gymrat you need to do what is right for you!

This year you found it very hard doing 2 shows 7 weeks apart very difficult and it is, what on the face of it seems a good idea will make it more difficult for the wrong reasons.

Stick to your plan of doing the Wellington show, Gymnation members will see u at the Nationals again next year!

Come to think of I am going stick with my original plan by training towards the wellington show after I discovered and learnt doing two shows that are seven weeks apart . Was hard ball game for me in the end I made. My new training split that i got from rebele is

Monday chest and hamstrings

tuesday back

Wednesday quads

thursday shoulders and calfs

friday arms

When i do the wellington show in September figured it would be good way to build up my fan base in wellington since I have only got a small number of fans in wellington which are mt ,drizz, old bull and team fat boy.

rebel as gym rats trainer can you please ask him to do full ROM at lesser weight for all movements?

hes not going to hurt himself and it will make a big difference

i think he will only listen to you now

Already done, we went over his training program while he was up here in Auckland and covered this issue.

Back today

bent over bb row 2x15 bar , 60kg, 3x12 70kg,80kg,90kg

t bar row 4x12 60kg,70kg,80kg,90kg

one arm DB row 4x12 30kg,32kg,35kg,40kg

pullovers 4x12 20kg,22kg,25kg,27kg,30kg

Had a good session this morning and did well doing pullovers for the first time after reble showed me how to pull overs when I was in Auckland for nationals. Which will help expand my rib cage and look bigger and better for when I do the wellington show in September. Was thinking today when I go to wellington in February for the cricket iam going to look around for place that i can afford to use when I get my spray tan the day before the show. One thing that notice about this year is I did not get to have much of a Easter this year because I was busy dieting down for the pans apart from the ten mini Easter eggs that I had for my cheat meal. But for Easter in the new year I will be able to enjoy Easter more until I have to start dieting down for the wellington show and Nats as well. Got a nice email back from eat me supplements which said they are all very proud of me. Thought that was very nice of them to say that.

What's ur offseason nutrition going to look like bibby?

During offseason I will be keeping my meals clean during the week from Monday to Friday and for the weekend with a couple of cheat meals as well. So that way in don't pile on to much body fat during off season. Which will makes things a bit more easy for me when it comes time start cutting for the wellington show in September . Leaning towards fish n chips as cheat meal for lunch on Saturday also thinking of making some raisin rolled oat muffins as well on Friday night so I can have them in moderation during the weekend. Learnt from last offseason I piled on to much to quickly including I was having lots of peanutbutter and two or three months after last years pans I was feeling low at times but still manged to train. Don't want to have a repeat of that . If I go out for tea during the week i have to go for healthy options depending what i am having at the time like Thai or what ever that may be but it will have to be a dish with lots of veggies and meat in it plus not loaded with cream or having a high fat content to it.

You going to be doing anything between now and september bibby, seeing as it's quite a while? any smaller shows? Also are you going to be giving some powerlifting a try during off season, just for fun?

I will be training for September which would include my trip to wellys in February when I go there for the cricket . Won't be doing any powerlifting not much of a fan of the sport but thinking of taking a week off from training during the holidays to be refreshed and fully fousics for 2015.
